Secure even when you have a key
I bought this set after doing some research online. I like the design that theoretically makes it harder for thieves to brute force the hitch pin with a metal pipe like some of the other hitch pins. Really like the fact that you can unlock the hitch lock or coupler lock, take out the key, and then just pop the button in when you want to relock. Much easier than my previous set. Now for the drawback. I bought this set prior to a trip to the beach in Florida. After just a few days in, the hitch lock would just not unlock with the key. At times it took 10 minutes of putting the key in and out and twisting back and forth to get the lock to pop open. Extremely frustrating. I eventually reverted back to an old lock because I was afraid the new one would eventually never open. When I returned from my trip after about a week, the hitch lock would not open either. Spent 10 minutes putting the key in and out, twisting back and forth with no result. Finally had to get WD-40 out and soak the lock and let it sit. Then finally got it open. I understand the need to keep locks lubricated, but this thing was only one week old. It seems like a design flaw to me. I think the little ball that holds it on just gets stuck and without lubrication will not work well. My advice if you buy this set is to keep WD-40 with you at all times.

Can't buy extrakeys
This lock looks to be very well made and high quality. However, when I contacted the manufacturer to purchase extra keys I was informed that these keys were not available, which makes this lock useless to me .

Great product but special care attention really needed
This is an amazing product delivered on time and performing as promised. But special attention must be brought to oiling an greasing both the receiver lock and coupler lock. DO NOT leave your receiver lock on if not in use as dirt (dust and similar stuff) will definetly affect its functionning. Put it on when needed and grease or oil it after every use so the bearings and lock mechanisms on both product keep peforming as they should. Yes, there are two plastic cover to stop dust and other stuff from entering the lock mecanisms but there is nothing to stop dust and other stuff from entering or affecting the bearings end of the receiver and coupler locks Otherwise, these 2 products fit most if not every two inches STANDARD north american made receiver (factory installed or aftermarket installed) If you are not sure measure your receiver female part to make sure this Resse product meets your need.

Sturdy and rugged
I bought this to lock my B&W turnover to my hitch receiver. After viewing their video, I liked the fact it was tougher to break in the event of theft. It was easy to install, and held up with out any problems when I towed an 18' auto trailer with a full size car loaded. No scuffing or marring. One thing I didn't like, hence the 4 star rating was after a few weeks of use, some rust started to appear between the lock cylinder and locking tab. i cleaned it up and added some silicone spray between the cylinder and tab to prevent it from happening in the future. I would have preferred the satin finish in lieu of the chrome, so the lock is not as noticeable from a distance. Overall a great product.

Best kit for a receiver and trailer you use most often.
I recently purchased a utility trailer and found this a great option to keep track of a lesser amount of keys. I keep one on my vehicle key ring and the other with all my trailer/storage keys. The locks are very easy to use and I have had no issues after nearly a year of use. I do keep a light layer of electrical grease inside the cap so the lock mechanisms do not lock up in the rain or freeze in the winter.

Works fine. Coupler lock will only work with narrow latches, it won't work on my RV hitch, but does fit my utility trailer. Locks are both a little finicky, but that's normal for that type of mechanism. Not sure I like the square key, but not real complaints. Spray a little silicone lube on it and it works fine. This is not a high strength lock, but it's a deterrent. I wouldn't go off and leave valuables overnight in a bad part of town, but its affordable and should work fine. I tow a pop-up camper and the hitch pin lock works as I hoped. I'd buy again.

Fairly disappointed with the product
Fairly disappointed with the product. The receiver pin fits in my 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 by mere millimeters... It does not fit our 2012 Tacoma (too short). The smaller hitch lock is too short for our travel trailer - likely suitable for a utility trailer etc. I still use the receiver pin... Had to toss the other.

Yay towing
Good product, lock works smoothly. Just waiting for the day when the semi-loose dust cover falls off though. Still probably one of the better ones on the market.

Stay away
Both locks stopped working about 2 weeks apart after 3 months of owning these. I had to cut them off in order to get my trailer free.

I love the new key style
No issues so far, no problems with rust. I love the new key style. Definitely PRO grade, excellent plating and hardness.
