Baby loves this toy
Great toy for learning motor skills, gravity and cause and effect. Our baby loves to play with this toy and it's easier for us to play with her because it's more fun then just stacking blocks)

2 year olds loves this toy
I am a teacher of 2 year olds and this is by far the most used toy. I do think this toy is way over priced for one board and not many pieces. But it’s definitely a favorite by all the kids.

Great for infants and toddlers
When I was a child, we had a peg stacking toy very similar to this. Ours had a hard yellow plastic base with pegs in different colors. I remember how much I loved that toy, so I was looking for something similar for my infant son (7 months). For now, he mainly takes pegs off the board, but I know this toy has lasting value as he will eventually be able to build towers with the pegs, sort the pegs, etc. Overall, I am very please with this toy. Pros: - The pegs are large (perhaps larger than the ones from when I was a child) and are not a choking hazard, in my opinion - Many ways to play. Younger children can search for the shaker peg under other pegs, take the pegs off the board, dump the pegs off, etc. Older children can build towers, sort the pegs by shape or color, or create designs. - There is one peg that is a shaker/rattle. I didn't have one of these in the set I had as a child, and I think it is a wonderful addition. - The pegs fit together easily. For the most part, it is a loose fit, which is what I was hoping for (rather than a snug fit, which would make it hard for young children to play with because they would have trouble taking the pegs apart). - The pegs are slightly different shapes, instead of all the exact same cylinder shape. Cons: (Please note that none of these are a big deal, I would certainly purchase this toy again even with these cons) - Some of the pegs have smaller holes and it is harder to fit the other pegs in (mainly the red ones) - The base is a soft, flexible material, instead of a hard plastic (like the one I had as a child). Maybe it said so in the description, and I missed it. This can pose a problem if you want to move the whole toy with the pegs in it; you need two hands to lift it without it bending and pegs falling off. Also makes it a bit harder to store, but I will be making a cloth drawstring bag to keep it in so in the end it isn't a big problem. I should note -- the other peg toy I looked at had a foam base, and I really don't like toys with the foam because my son could chew off a piece and they aren't as durable. So, I definitely prefer this flexible base to the foam ones.

Perfect for small children
This toy has been my child's favorite for nearly a year now. She generally moves from one toy to the next very quickly. However this toy holds her attention the longest. It has nice large pegs and is easy to stack. It is also good to learn colors, counting, sorting, and patterns. My older child also showed me that you can play a game with it. I am uncertain of the game's title but it is played like this. You fill the board with pegs. Remove one peg anywhere on the board. Then you use one peg to hop the one next to it on any side, you must move in a straight line (up, down, or diagonally). When peg is hopped remove it from the board and continue this process. The object is to have only one peg left. Who knew this toddler toy could also be enjoyed by older kids. My children have also played their own made up game my older child tries to build a tower before my littlest one knocks it down. Each time the challenge is to get the tower taller and taller before it is knocked over. Fun to watch! Great toy!

Fantastic little toy that is great for learning coordination.
Who would have thought, but this toy is a favorite of my daughter. I wish it had more pieces, because she loves stacking these, putting them all in, and then either tearing them all out one by one or just dumping the entire thing. They are very well made with no sharp edges and stack very well. The base is nice, firm plastic. One of the pieces is a little rattle. I might have to buy a second one just so she can have more pieces to stack. The one thing that really makes it better than other peg sort of toys out there is that the base is sturdy and easy to get the pieces into and out of. I've bought some others (because my daughter loves these peg things), but the bases are foam board and just useless.

Fine Motor Skills
My granddaughters at 18 months needed help with their fine motor skills. I was advised to find pegboard or Lego. I had no idea how hard it is to find either of these for children under two years. However, Italy to the rescue of the pre-twos!! Quercetti GeoKids make a fine circular board with holes and different color pegs to insert and build with. From there you can build up! The girls love it and play with it often. The pieces are large and colorful, easy to clean and the number of pegs in each color is on the box so you know when to move the sofa and search for missing pieces!! As mentioned, the pieces are large and easier to manipulate than Lego and the girls, now have been able to graduate to Lego which they also enjoy but they still remember and use their GeoKids.

Simple, but great!
I bought this for my son when he was approx 9 months old. He played with it fairly consistently until almost age 2. Really liked the size of the pieces, perfect shape and size for little hands. There's one piece that rattles when you shake it, and that piece alone gave hours of enjoyment, even before he got the stacking part down. Ended up buying this for my niece, too. Equally a favorite for her as well. Manageable number of pieces. Still good even if a few go missing.

Fun tower building toy
Bought this for my autistic son who is 3. He loves building towers so thought this would be great for him. He loved naming the colours and shapes. Sadly it doesn't go hugely tall without toppling over, probably after about 6 or 7 pegs it topples. The pegs are also much bigger than I expected (see photo), I honestly thought they would be half the size they are. But I don't mind as means my baby will love them too when she is a bit older. One peg was missing from the box but I called amazon who sorted it out straight away for me. Not sure the toy is worth the price is has been sitting at for a while (almost £25) but I bought when it had dropped to approx £21.50 and I didn't mind paying this lower price for it especially as my son seems to enjoy it (apart from when the tower toppels over when he isn't wanting it to!).
