Nice jacket but the hood sucks

The jacket repels rain well and is decently warm with the liner installed but the hood is absolutely worthless. The snaps that hold it on are no where near strong enough so every time you turn your head, one of them comes undone. My jacket is also came missing one of the loops that you use to attach the liner sleeves to the sleeves of the outer shell. Other than the loops (minor) and hood (slightly bigger) problems, it still kept me warm in the negative temps of Spokane so I would buy it again.

Very warm, windproof, comfortable

I’ve worn this two winters & love it. Keeps me warm, even in cold winds, it very comfortable & is holding its color & everything else. I’d buy another one but I see this lasting for many years.

Convertible Hi-Viz jacket

Purchased to work in a project just in case it got cold. Weather was totally unpredictable and I was able to remove inside fleece when it was warmer. The weather eventually go cold and the fleece kept me warm and dry. Overall a well made jacket.

Fits, not to tight or snug.

Light weight, kept me warm when shoveling snow. Would recommend. Plus if needed you can remove the flece insert from jacket's outer shell. Easy for washing and drying.

I am glad I bought a size larger

I am an XXL in all of my jackets but after reading the reviews here I went with the 3XL and was afraid it would be too big but nope, it is a perfect XXL size so I am happy. I wish the hood wouldn't pop off so easily as I have a habit of just grabbing the jacket without looking and sometimes I grab hold of the hoodie which easily pops right off. It would also be nice if the hood was padded for warmth and to lessen noise. Though it keeps me warm which is great and the places I visit for work require a reflective vest. It is interesting how many years ago I bought a $300 thick Columbia jacket yet this jacket keeps me just as warm if not warmer due to the elastic bands around the waist and arms to keep the cold air out. UPDATE About a year later since buying this and there have been some very cold windy days and this jacket keeps me nice and warm. Which is really interesting since I paid top dollar for Columbia jackets in the past and this can do the same. If only it didn't ride all the way up to your chest when you bend down then it would be a lot better.

Beware of the size chart

I was warned by other reviews about the small sizing, so I ordered a size larger... should have gone two. Returned 10 minutes after arrival. Pyramex needs to get their sizes more accurate to save their vendors all this grief. Also jacket is very bulky and heavy. Even with the liner out it is hardly a lightweight summer shell. The search for a suitable warm weather hi viz raincoat continues. Update: I had to pay the return postage for this item and then was hit with a "restocking fee" from the vendor. Basically $50 gone with nothing to show for it. Will NEVER use this vendor again.

The perfect "f*ck off" jacket

I love going for walks in the woods behind my house. There's lots of trails to wander around but unfortunately my neighbors love the trails for ATVing & dirtbiking and will speed through and almost hit you kuz they don't see you. Can't count how many times I've had to jump into a bush to avoid being roadkill. But you can see this jacket from space it's so bright. Havent had a problem since. They slow down and give me a wide berth when they go by now. No one is going to bother you kuz you look like a security guard or some other kind of authority. Wearing it to a store is great, people avoid you kuz they think you're security. They'll see you from miles away, even in a snowstorm. And it holds up well in snowstorm (in Northern Canada). You'll be warm and toasty all day in that thing. The lining is removable so it's also great in spring and fall. I've also worn it in rain and stayed bone-dry. It's also held up well against big dogs chewing on it and jumping up to play with decent sized paws/nails. No holes. So I'd imagine it would hold up well if you do labor jobs or are hard on your clothes. The ONLY negative I've noticed is: if you wear it while driving in the dark, the windshield reflects it back and is super bright! And if you wanna wear it hunting or somewhere else that requires quiet, it's a bit loud and crinkly when you first get it. After a while and many wears the fabric softens a bit and isn't as crisp or "swishy". Other than that, it's great. Easy to clean. Most mud and liquids wipe right off, and the lining is easy to throw into the wash.

Not for construction. Poor quality

This jacket last 3 weeks up here in Canada on a industrial site doing concrete Formwork. Rips easy and stitching is all coming apart. This jacket would be better for drivers who don’t handle anything. Cheap stitching and cheap material.

Bright, Lightweight

The jacket is not sized properly. I wear a 2X regularly and ordered a 2X which was to small. I sold the jacket to a co-worker and re-ordered a 4X. This was slightly large but permitted a hoody to be worn underneath the jacket for extra warmth. Jacket is very warm on it's own and very lightweight. Elastic waist band fits snug to keep out wind Jacket arrived well packaged in 3 days Good product if required for warmth or wind protection. Have not tested in the rain but appears to be a water resistant product.

Wish it was bigger

Was a bit small for a XXXL???? However, it's a nice and warm fit I threw away the clip on hood. Was more of a pain in the butt,right out the bag. It's ok for the fall,spring and them nice winter days. Overall not bad. Wish it was a hoodie
