The level of enjoyment with this puzzle depends on who will be putting it together. If you are someone who has only a general interest and/or appreciation for WW II aircraft, then you will probably like this puzzle and give it all 5 stars. There is a decent range of aircraft from both the Axis & Allied forces with a few nice surprises such as a couple of French fighters I was not familiar with and the little known but very capable the Nakajima Hayate of Japan. Overall, as with most Eurographics puzzles, the art work is very good with nice details, colors and markings and I generally enjoyed this puzzle. That being said, if you are a more serious history buff and have a greater interest and knowledge of these planes and this period of history, you might be frustrated and perhaps disappointed. For example, the P-51 Mustang illustration is the earlier "B" model but specified as the P-51D which had the teardrop canopy. Those are very different looking variants. The same for the P-47 Thunderbolt; I also want to see the earlier "razorback" variant. Where is the Curtis P-40 of the famous Flying Tigers? Where is the F4F Wildcat, that fought the Japanese "Zero" until America could put better planes in the air? The British Typhoon which did tremendous damage to the Nazis especially during the battle of Normandy? The Fairey Swordfish, the famous biplane torpedo bomber who did great damage to the Italian fleet at Taranto and crippled the Bismark so it could be sunk? How do you not have the iconic He 111 for Germany? Perhaps would be nice to have a series of WWII aircraft, one for each of the major powers who had extensive air fleets. That way you could include other important and recognizable aircraft such as the C-47 Skytrain or the Junkers JU-52. Maybe categorize them by theaters? Either way, you could create a collection of this series which would interest a wider range of people while improving the educational aspect of these historical puzzles.

Good Fun Puzzle, Missing Pieces
Bought this as a gift for my father for Christmas. It took him a couple days to knock out and he really enjoyed it. The only problem was that it was missing two pieces. Was hoping to potentially hang it up, but now we can't.

I Love WWII Aircraft
This puzzle really satisfies my continuing love of World War Two aircraft. I own a similar poster, air combat art prints, and numerous books on the subject. This jigsaw puzzle combines the need to do some "at home" activity with my interest in this aspect of WWII history. Start on the edge or assemble the aircraft first, this puzzle is engaging either way.

Hard - Rewarding
This puzzle's subject is interesting and if you know something of these aircraft it makes completion more enjoyable and give you an advantage. The smart-cut technology means that pieces of very different to standard jigsaws. Some pieces have sides that do not interlock. This jigsaw will test patience, skill and eye sight. There is substantial use of text and the box illustration is demanding to read. Judging the placement of islands of jigsaws is not easy. I opted to build islands of aircraft images on a separate board and transfer them into place at a later time using a piece of laminated card. If giving as a gift it would be best to check-out the enthusiasm of the recipient for jigsaws as this will take many hours (days even) to complete. My hardest jigsaw build to date - Feb 2021.

Amazon comes through - right product at the right price and delivered as advertised!
I liked that it was delivered right to my front door just 2 or 3 days after it was ordered. I used Amazon because I originally ordered a WWII Aircraft 1,000 piece puzzle from another supplier but what arrived (some weeks later by mail) was a crunched box containing a 1,000 piece puzzle of National Parks. When I contacted the supplier they told me that they daily send out lots of puzzles and mistakes sometimes happen. They offered to discount the price by 15%. I responded that I didn’t care about a discount, I simply wanted the puzzle I ordered. About 3 weeks later in the mail I received another National Parks puzzle. The WWII Aircraft was for my brother who is recovering from a stroke and I knew it would be good for him for two reasons, the first, he loves old aircraft and secondly it would be good therapy for him. And thankfully Amazon came through.
