They work but…
We have really hard water despite a softener. The filter worked but sadly not for long. It was clogged up and not allowing the tank to even empty. It lasted about 2-3 weeks at most. I can’t justify buying 2 per month so I’ll have to scrub hard water gunk out instead.

Complaints are mostly user error...
I feel the need to defend this product due to the multitude of negative reviews. I too, for awhile, also thought that once the water level in the tank got below the top of the filter the humidifier would stop working and the light would start blinking red. This was until I realized that after you fill up the tank, the filter takes awhile to absorb the water in order to work properly. While it does this, you can hear a gurgling noise while you see bubbles coming out of the top of the filter. Allow this process to occur after refilling the tank BEFORE turning the humidifier back on. You must be patient during this process. After there are no more bubbles, the process is done, and you can turn on the humidifier. The unit will then work fine, allowing the tank to empty all the way to the bottom, and only then will the red light start flashing signaling it's time to refill the tank. I'm not sure why the company does not provide instructions explaining this, I also figured it out accidentally. I will continue to buy these filters because I find them to be a much cheaper and easier alternative to using distilled water.

not worth the price
When I shake the filter, I can hear the pebble sound, it seems simple and crude. Not worth the money. And the brita pitcher filter only 4 dollar each. It is more complicated than this. But I don’t have another choice because I use the humidifier from this brand.

I think hardness filter help.
I see complaints about white dust. I use two GG humidifiers. Also two GG air filters. These filters will not go thirty days of my use. My water very hard. Clean humidifiers almost once week. The AF life greatly reduced because of minerals in air. These hard water cartridge filters have greatly extended AF life. After twenty days of hard water use need to replace filters. I would guess after filter fills up with minerals cartridge goes into BYPASS mode. Hence the white dust. I can not afford distilled water. These help me. But I change often. Good luck. My water tested "off" the hard water scale. I use spring water for coffee. Over million gallons every day , spring water gushing from earth.

Great filter but overpriced
This filter really reduces the amount of white dust (minerals) spread throughout the environment, I really recommend using one. On the other hand, for a humidifier that costs $40 as a whole unit, charging $11 for a filter is disrespectful with the customers. I’d suggest improving manufacturing processes (automation) to keep costs down and fight inflation.

Good filter but it was three cartridges
I thought I was buying a 3 pack but it is only one. I don’t mind it for the price but feel the advertising is misleading. The picture that is shown of it has a big 3 on it and looks like it could hold 3 filters. Just a heads up: it is only 1. People here have complained of the humidifier smelling like mildew and a white film. I fill the reservoir with very hot water every night and drop the filter into it as well. I let it stand for a few minutes. This is because I saw a pink scum form and this has taken care of that. When the hard water build up forms on the machine I clean it with vinegar. Let it stand for about 5 minutes and rinse well. The machine had stopped working so I cleaned it and replaced the filter. All is well. I like the machine, use tap water and will continue to buy the filters

Missing rubber gasket
Ordered 2 filters and one had a manufacturers defect. The inner gasket, that sits between the tank and filter cap, was missing. Not a huge deal since I was able to remove the gasket from the previous filter. These filters generally work fairly well. They don’t remove all hard water build up, but definitely enough that you can tell a difference. Certainly worth the buy.
