Tekton Delivers a One-Two Punch

I really like the quality of these little punches for a couple of reasons. One, they are symmetrical and uniform, so they are suited to precision work. Two, they are hardened and made of tough steel, so they will last. I use them to drive some pretty stuck cold-rolled pins, yet my punches still look new after many years of serious use. I just bought another set for my son. These are affordable, high-quality tools made in the USA. Tekton is a great company because of their superior customer service. This is an excellent purchase.

It's a punch it works...

No issues at all with this brand for the few I've picked up. True to size and works as intended. As I need more for projects this will probably be my first stop since I never need a full set of punches.

Incredible quality at an equally incredible price!

I work in aviation, and there is a specific component that my shop overhauls fairly regularly which requires the removal of some very (very!) stubborn pins and rivets. After *years* of just accepting that we were probably going to bend/break a tool or three during the process, I went out on a limb just last week and ordered three of these Tekton 3/32" pin punches to try out. I'll cut right to the chase and let you know that while I did bend one of them almost immediately, it was 100% my fault. You do still have to be extremely careful with these thin tools and I just wasn't. Using a little more care with a new one, I managed to remove every last piece of hardware from that part with just the one punch. The "business end" was starting to show a tiny bit of mushrooming toward the end of things, but I truly can't stress enough just how incredibly, horribly hard this specific job is on tools. The fact that a single punch managed to last through the entire evolution, and was only showing minor signs of wear upon completion, is all the evidence I need to know that Tekton punches will be replacing all of the existing ones in both my own tool box and the shop's box as well. I'd give them a sixth star if I could. In lieu of being able to do that, I bought a handful more to give to my crew for Christmas. :-)

Awesome service

I ordered this punch for driving roll pins out of guns and got the wrong size, my mistake, return possess was easy. Punch looks sturdy and solid.

Great alternative to pricey draw bore pins for traditional woodwokers

Bought a pair of these for draw boring Mortice and tenon joints for my work bench build at a fraction of the price as the specialty tools offered by woodworking vendors. Now all I need do is turn a couple of handles for them so they don’t end up lost in a bucket of miscellaneous tools.

inconsistent

I use the 1/4 inch punch for removing spring pins in several pieces of equipment. I have purchased several times. The first ones I bought seemed to stand up very well. Recent purchases are inconsistent and with some bending very quickly and others still holding up fine.

Bent on arrival.

Extremely poorly done, a bend this badly makes this worthless. The packaging was adequate, the capsule was completely fine. This product is worthless will be refunding.

I've bought 2 tekton punches,the first one bent and snapped during my first use, the second worked with no issues and no bending or breakage. The quality can be inconsistent but if you have any issues they will send you a replacement free of charge.
