It fits and works great!
This is one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon! My 2 cats like to come and go from my bedroom, and usually I just keep a shoe in the door to keep it from closing. Lately, though, one of the cats has been moving that shoe to purposely make me get up to come and move it back. ( She just wants food! ) I needed something to hold it open about 5 inches(for the cats to go thru it) but also wouldn't need un-attaching and then re-attaching every time I want to leave my room. This thing fit on my door just fine. It's a firm foam, so has some give, but it's not soft enough to slam the door shut. Depending on where you place it on the top of the door, it can be kept further open or less. It can be kept on the top of the door or on the inside face. The only downside is that I have to stand on tiptoe to get it off the top of the door whenever I want to close the door. I am SO glad I ordered this!

Perfect for pets too...
We have 2 bloodhounds that sleep in our bedroom, but we have to give them access to the dog door at night. So we put this nifty little thing on the door, and it allows them the freedom to open the door with their noses to get to the dog door, while not leaving our bedroom door wide open all night when we are trying to sleep undisturbed. The soft material of the door guard keeps the door from slamming, and we can just put something close to the back of the door to keep our youngest and more rambunctious girl from busting through the door like nut that she is and slamming the back of the door into the wall. This has been an awesome purchase for us.

The best!
We use this so when the heater is on the door doesn't slam shut from the suction and wake the baby. It works like a charm! Worth the price tag for this little piece of foam ????

Must have!
These are a must have item for all parents! Not only are they great for making sure fingers don’t get hurt in doors or hinges, but they also keep kiddos from getting shut in doors. Easy to remove and put on since there is absolutely zero installation, residue, etc since it literally just slips on and off the door.

Works Great For Pets!
Our cat has a habit of closing the bathroom door and trapping herself inside. This simple device prevents that from happening. Great buy!

Easy to use, fits a variety of door thicknesses, seems durable. Actually purchased to keep the door to the cats' litter box room from being closed accidentally and it works perfectly for that purpose.

Simple, adjustable and does as advertised.
Upon purchasing something to prevent our doors from opening too far for our cat to escape our overly-playful at times dog, we also wanted to ensure she couldn't be accidentally locked into any rooms. We happened upon these. They are really just a foam block that fits various door sizes and you simply place them wherever to adjust how much space will always remain open. As many seem to have commented, you can make this yourself at home, but I liked the look and it was effortless to purchase. You can add them to whatever door and move wherever to adjust. You can also easily remove, making it portable and so far hasn't cracked or torn or left any marks on the doorframe/wall. No complaints, as it is exactly as advertised. It puts our minds at ease knowing if we are out for an extended period of time our pet(s) cannot lock themselves in any rooms we want kept open for them to venture into.

Grande e macio, mas não durou 1 mês
Tenho gatos e 1 criança pequena. Uso esses protetores (de várias marcas) em todas as portas pra garantir que eles consigam circular livres pela casa sem o perigo de uma porta bater e prender um dedo ou um rabinho. Esse específico da Safety 1st eu inicialmente gostei, é bem grande e largo, macio, prende bem na porta tamanho padrão e não estraga a porta (já tive uns mais duros que marcavam a porta). No entanto, com 1 semana de uso ele começou a rachar no cantinho e, após MENOS DE UM MÊS DE USO LEVE ele se partiu SOZINHO. Ele estava numa porta que não recebe muito vento, não bate muito, não era retirado e recolocado com frequência, não pegava sol, só ficava lá, quietinho, e se partiu sozinho mesmo, só pulou da porta, sem pancada, sem nada. Os outros que já tive, de marcas diversas, costumam se perder pela casa antes de se quebrarem, somente 1 partiu assim, mas já com 2 anos de uso. Não recomendo esse produto.

Great Product
Not only does it stop toddlers/kids from pinching their fingers but also good for stopping door slamming. I also use for travel, when trying to bring and take out luggage so door doesn't close automatically.

Produto muito frágil
Adquiri 3 unidades deste produto e com pouco mais de 1 semana de uso, as 3 unidades rasgaram. O produto é muito frágil e se danifica facilmente quando a porta bate. Não resolveu meu problema. Fiquei insatisfeita com esta compra.

Nao gostei, a ideia é boa mais com umas 6 vezes que a porta bateu , ele rasgou. O EVA, embora seja grosso tem pouca resistência,

Qualidade ruim
Não tem 15 dias que estou usando na porta e já começou a rachar na curvatura. Serve até estragar. Uso apenas para a porta não bater no trabalho. Não recomendo para proteger os dedos das crianças
