Sturdy Lightweight Shoe

It is difficult to find a wide fit shoe. Ordered 8.5 xx and the fit is just right. Price point at $90 is a bit expensive for this shoe, but willing to pay to get a correct fit. Quality is average to above average.

These Mens Propet Hiking Boots are a choice with many options, but a bit stiff/heavy.

These Mens Propet Hiking Boots are a good option for those, like me, who require wide, weather-protecting shoes, whereas they come in so many sizes/widths. I have highly problematic and sore feet, so I doubt that a shoe with potential for Winter use exists that will really be truly comfortable. And so it is with these. The Propet Hikers, while providing waterproof protection and being adequately attractive, still are quite stiff and heavy, to me, anyways. I would still recommend them for those who have a difficult time fitting into shoes of this style.

These Boots are a great value!

Full disclosure, I have yet to break these boots in completely. They fit very true to size, and are extremely wide for those of us that have a very wide foot. That's a hard thing to find in a shoe these days, especially when you have a 14 and 1/2 sized foot. My one complaint is that they are quite stiff even after several dozen outings. And they are rather large, and the best way that I can think to describe them as clunky. They're not exactly overly heavy, but they're just bulky. With those negatives out of the way, they are wonderfully waterproof, they are roomy and comfortable for a person with a very large and wide foot, their stylish looking, and they manage to hold up well under rough wear and tear of a large person. I would recommend these to anyone else who has an extremely wide and long foot, and is looking for a nice waterproof boot to get through a winter. I'm hoping that they will loosen up a bit once they are fully broken in, but there's stiff nature is not enough to keep me away. I only wish that I had had this brand available in the past, because they are a quality Boot at a wonderful price.

Not wide enough

I wear a ladies 39/8.5EE and figured this men's 8XX would be ideal. Unfortunately, while they mark it 8XX/5E, it is NOT wide enough. Definitely NOT a 5E. Very disappointed. They are otherwise beautiful, well-padded, and sturdy. Boo hoo for me!

Needed a day to break in

Took a day of wearing them to start to "break in" and after the second day in the rain, mud, gravel, they felt good on my feet and had no problems with sore feet. Waterproof and comfortable.

Great boots

I have been on the fence about getting a hiking boot, due to my feet being wide & also diabetic with feet issues. So far these boots are great. I’m able to put in my orthotics, have plenty of room & assure ankle support.

Excellent value, great durability and fits as expected

I am quite certain that these are the best hikers I have ever bought, and I have bought lots over the years. I bought my pair in 8.5 X almost exactly 1 year ago and have worn the heck out of them. I wear them for any outdoor activities - hiking, working in the yard and even when I recently did some concrete work. they have held up extremely well - the stitching is all good, the soles still attached to the boot (other hikers I have bought in the past would separate at the toe). The soles are intact and not cracked, and they provide excellent grip. Even the insoles are the originals and are still in good shape. there is a small flap of leather on the tongue that the lace goes under and this has torn away from the tongue on one of the boots. It does not affect the fit or comfort at all (not really sure why it is even there) and most likely tore because I pull on the laces like a gorilla to get them really snug on my foot. Overall, highly recommended - excellent value at this price point. I just ordered a second pair - just so that I have them when my current pair eventually wear out. I was pleased to see the price had only gone up by $3 or so after a year.

Great Hiking Boots

After looking for wide fit shoes and boots, I came across Propet products. Best boots and running shoes I've bought in a long time. I have never come across size 15 5E width until I bought my first pair of boots. I bought the same size in a low cut boot and another pair of high cut boots as well, since the first pair have too many miles on them. They are also big enough to accept an orthotic insert. No issues recommending these products.

Perfect for wide flat feet

These boots are great, best value in any shoe I have bought. I wear a new balance 9.5 6e and I went up a half size in there 5e, so size 10 6e width and they are perfect!! I have wide flat feet and have never found wide hicking until now. Would buy again in a heart beat.

Disapointed

Supposed to be wide fitting but toe box tapers to a very narrow ft
