Catches Shrimp

Trap is very effective. First night, against sea wall, caught 10 shrimp, 2 Stones (released), and 5 Blue crabs. Didn’t use any bait.

Need smaller Opening

This trap openings are too large and have to be modified to prevent it from being a crab trap. It is illegal for crabs without an escape ring. I added two tie wraps across each opening to prevent crabs from entering. The opening is large enough to catch large blue crabs. But the item seems well made.

best value

great price point heavy duty but shipped poorly. useable but dents in pot and salt water mean rust. SO easyly returned andwe will see if next one is good. It is a great deal but if you send ground it suffers so much handling. I would in hine site pay for two day but I am hoping they pack new one better. Lucky for me four weeks till we shrimp great deal

Caught lots of shrimp!

Purchased 2 of these for a trip to BC. They worked great and caught lots of shrimp. I ordered the 1/2" square mesh but may consider the 1" mesh so the smaller shrimp can escape. I would also order some shrimp bait to go with them. They were used for 10 days with no signs of wear. I ordered using prime and received them quickly too! One last thing, you should have 300' of rope to get down deep...

Buyer Beware

The company states this product's mesh is 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch. Not true, the mesh is exactly 1 inch by 1 inch. Second issue, you have to request "permission" in order to return this item. I requested permission and so far no response. Be happy to update this report if the customer service is reasonable.
