I just wanted the hand remote controller and not the fans receiver.

Rmote controller works fine, kept the receiver in the box and in the basement just in case one day it might be needed.

What I needed

Replaced my damaged one, though the grey sides it shows on the bottom we’re not on the one I received. Mine is just white on the bottom. Wasn’t a big issue for me, but misleading.

It works, my old remote is just like this and burned out after 3 years.

This works just fine. Buying this saved me a repair man call. I bought this to replace an identical remote for a fan I bought at Home Depot. If the green light does not come on when you press a button, it means the remote has burned out. Just open it, make sure the battery is good, and set the switches to the same location as your old remote. Well worth the buy.

The fan and light sometimes come on without being prompted!

I love the fan except for the fact that the fan and sometimes the light, comes on without being prompted! Can anyone else relate to that or had it happen to them???
