perfect match for a replacement.
Here is the story. The national builder who built my place decided to write the initial HOA documents to offload the front light outside my front door to me and the other homeowners. Why? Because the light switch is on the inside of our homes. We didn't select these lights. THey were selected and installed for us. Mine was defective from the start. I can't even change the bulbs--which have to be changed every six months or year. I have to hire an electrician to do it for me. He even hates it. I won't bore you with the HOA/builder "discussions" over this. And there have been many. So fast forward to this year. My electrician said to install LED lights so I hopefully don't have to change them ever again. So I wanted the defective light replaced. I called the builder who put me in touch with the original electrical company in a neighboring state that installs them for the builder. It was Progress Lighting. And this is the light. But I was told it was no longer being made. I was even told to go to Progress Lighting's website and find something "Similar". Nothing there that I saw on that day. So I did an internet search for this light. And here it was on Amazon. It is almost identical to the one I have. So hopefully with its replacement and the new LED lights I won't have problems with it any more. But I do wish Progress Lighting would put numbers or something on their lights so we consumers can easily find the latest model they are selling. I didn't see this on the old one.

Nice light for colonial home.
I bought this to replace one of my 2 existing lights. I needed to match the one that I’d had about 20 years. This worked well. The glass has less bubbles than the other one but I suspect no one else other than me will notice.

Wouldn't Buy Again
Sometimes you get what you pay for, but in this case I got more than I needed. For some reason there's too much going on; too much hardware; too many steps to removing the globe for cleaning or replacing bulbs. The task is unnecessarily complicated. I doubt I'll be able to do it by myself. There are screws on the outside of the collar that are not bronze...they're silver. At some point I'll climb up there are touch up with a black Sharpie, so they blend in. The fixture is a little puney. I like the antique glass, which was the selling point for me. Hopefully it won't show dust and humidity film. Close up this fixture looks cheap. I'm keeping it for the time being since it's at the top of our stairs where most people won't even notice it. But I don't love this...I'm disappointed.
