functional, but not long lasting

My husband needed a sling to immobilize his fractured shoulder, and this was what was sent home with him from the hospital. It is lightweight, has foam straps, easy to use, and washes in the machine. The issue we have is that while the sling part has held up under everyday use for more than a month, the foam straps wore at the edges after a week. (We have two so we can wash one, wear one). We washed them by hand and air dried, but it still wore through on both edges. It's still usable, but now the foam doesn't have a covering. On a positive note, the velcro pieces that hold the strap in place is the tightest velcro I've ever seen: no slipping possible!

Good product

I bought this to replace the sling the surgery center gave me when I had rotator cuff surgery. The foam padding on this one makes it much more comfortable than that one. It washes well ( I do not put it in the dryer) and is super easy to put on with one hand.

Don't buy it

Difficult to use for one person. The cheap velcro tab is almost impossible to open. The product I received does not look at all like the one I received.
