Worthy product

I am a beginner runner and found these after suffering torn calf muscles. I was at the point that I didn't think I was going to be able to continue to run. I received the product last night and hit the running track. I not only ran farther than I have in the past, I did it without the normal pain I was used to experiencing. I look forward to going out each day, with the help of the Pro-Tech Athletics Calf Sleeve, to further my running and compete in my 1st 10k in the near future. The ONLY draw back was, there is no sizing chart so I had to guess. My advice is to order a size DOWN.

Great Sleeves for Hard Workouts!

I was told by several people that calf sleeves are a good way to speed recovery or have fresher calves in a race situation. Absolutely correct on both counts. I have worn them to bed and they definitely do make a difference after a hard training session. It is difficult to precisely describe what they do when you are going hard in the gym or on the road. The best way to say it is that you have less burn and fatigue. One suggestion - without sizing in inches: I have 18.5 inch calves and to me compression works best with adequate pressure. I am using the "large" sizing and they are a good fit. I would imagine that you should go a size lower than what you think you need to make sure you get the full benefits of compression. If its loose you will be giving ANY compression product a low rating since it is just not able to do its job.

Saved me

Recently rode the 2013 Seattle to Portland bike ride and these made a big difference. I started out not wearing them but about 1/3 into the ride I could feel my calves on the verge of cramping. I stopped and slip these on and rode another 100 miles without crampng or having the sensation of a cramp coming on. I would say that I should have gotten the extra large size, the large did the job but they did feel very tight putting them on. Good product and will order the XL next time.

Lg. is snug on a 17 inch calf, but acceptable.

This comes as a single sleeve- not in pairs. I bought it because my left calf, often, cramps at night. This keeps it warm. The sleeve seems to be made of neoprene and so you'll sweet under the sleeve. So, you should, probably, wash it with a mild soap after every few uses. The sleeve seems well made and I'm assuming that the stitching will last for a long while.

Comfortable compression w/out bulk

When I tore my calf muscle, I wasn't sure what kind of compression sleeve to get; this one had a lot of appeal - but needs to be a tick more compressed. Washes / Dries quickly and feels good when wearing all day. I wear it during Zumba as a precautionary and it does not slide down or move. Priced right!

Perfect

I bought these because I could not find decent socks that would stay up with slip on steel toe work boots. These work perfectly. Now it doesn't matter what my socks do the edge of the boot won't irritate my calves. My problem wasn't that the socks would get down into my feet, they would just slide down around my ankles. that didn't bother me either, what bugged me was my exposed calves and how raw they became while walking with my slip on steel toes. This product is perfect!

Good sleeve

I give it 4 stars because it is a bit tighter than I liked. Hard to size something like this I guess, but I always measure and order the next size bigger as a general rule and this came out tight yet. Maybe I can stretch it out some.
