Makes me laugh every time

Someone finally put on a decorative box, the things that go on in my head on a daily basis. What’s not to love? Got this as a gift for my daughter who is as snarky as I am and she loves it.

Perfect saying for stopping my loved one from giving me another lecture that I don't (want to) understand

When I saw this box, I knew that I had to pick it up to use (on occasion) when my husband gets into one of his technical explanations that go on and on and on. He is not only an senior software engineer but has also taught a variety of courses on software engineering at UCLA. So his answers to questions sometimes take on the guise of a lecture. I may be asking a question to which I expect a yes or no answer or, at most, a sentence, and instead I get “treated” to something a technical grad student might appreciate. Up until I purchased this box, I would simply roll my eyes back into my head and “faint” onto a sofa as my subtle hint that he was being a tad too verbose. Thankfully, he has a great sense of humor and enjoys my way of stopping his lectures rather than be offended by it. However, there has always been the chance that my eyes might get stuck in the rolled up position (at least according to my mother who warned me of this eventuality throughout my life) or that I might miss the sofa and fall on the floor and break bones, so I was happy to find this box as a substitute. When I got my “I'm sorry I slapped you” box, my husband knew immediately its intended use and set it on the end table by my side of the sofa. It has a bonus use that we have just discovered. When a family member or friends calls and gets one of us (me, for instance)into a long-winded discussion and I don't want to just hang up on them and hurt some feelings, I can wave the box at my husband. He, then, can call out for me to get off the phone and come help him. This gives me the perfect excuse to hang up. I'll do the same for him if the need ever arises. The small box (approximately 3 x 3 x 1.75 inches) is well made of wood with an overlay of paper. The entire box is painted black or has black paper on it. The words are in white as is the pattern on the top/bottom and two sides. The back is open but is painted black as well. The print on the paper and the box itself has been “antiqued” to give it a vintage feel. The only problem I had was that the bar code sticker was stuck on the inside in the back and was difficult to remove. I had to use a wet sponge to remove the stuck on portions of the tag that didn't peel off. So, sorry I have gone on for so long that you now feel the need to reach through the screen and slap me, too. I will be back for more of these delightful and insulting boxes in the future.

for the laconic, easily annoyed man (or woman) of action

Actually, this box presents the ideal dimensions for those nursing a more passive aggressive streak. It measures 3" tall, 3" across, and 1 3/4" deep, simply perfect for people who aren't into in-your-face demonstrations but, instead, entertain the more subtle "Well, maybe he'll see it and catch a hint or he won't in which case there won't be a scene" approach. I sort of regret giving this as a gag gift to my buddy, Bollywood Bob. I suspect he's using it as an excuse to go up to people and plant a vicious palm and five fingers on their mug. Anyway, I bought one for me, as well. I mean to show it to a work colleague who tends to blab like he's got a word quota. Just you wait, Steve Jones.

How can you not laugh at this! I put it on the dashboard of my car after I picked up a few of my BFF and we laugh so hard! Worth every dollar

Great gift

I bought this for a friend. She loved it. She keeps it on her stove. Originally she sent me a meme that said that, and then she’s like, “I need this in my life!!” She was in hysterics when she opened it! Great gift!!

So tiny

It’s a cute saying and that is why I bought it for someone. I should have read the dimensions, I was shocked how small it is. So that’s on me. I purchased a different one which was larger, I guess I thought they were the same size. So read dimensions.

Love it

I was going to give this as a gift but really? I had to keep it. I can't count how many times I have wanted to do exactly what is on the sign. It is not very big which is perfect so you can place it on your desk at work and just add that touch of flair! I have mine at my home office on my bookshelf at eye height so it is hard to miss. Well worth the money and there are a lot more signs to pick from I have bunches!
