Must have!
Old screen on left, new screen with this spline on the right. As a woman I’d never fixed a screen but I tried for like 10hrs total to fit a bigger spline in & it would not go! I gave up, then I saw this was half that size & the spline went right in no problem easy as can be! I’ve done like 6 screens now I’m a pro. I think there’s enough to do 2 windows with the amount of spline in 1 pack.

Product is as described. Wrong size for me
Ok value however found cheaper ones after purchased. I bought the smaller size .120 recommended to use for pets screen per Amazon and it was a lil small. Should of stayed with standard size 140. The product is fine otherwise. Bought another cheaper larger spline works fine now. Nothing wrong with the spline itself was just wrong size they recommended.

Replacing screen is easy, and this spline works great
I have found that the recommended spline diameter can sometimes result in a screen that, while it will hold, can easily be pushed out of the frame by hand. A thicker spline is a BIT more difficult to install with the tool - you need to stretch it out a bit and/or put more pressure on the tool. But the result will be a screen that holds firm and tight. When doing your screen, work on a level, flat surface. It helps to have someone aid in holding the screen at one end of the frame. Pull it so it is snug and without snags, but be careful not to stretch it with too much force. The screen can tear easily if you over-do it. Remember, too, that that the movement of the spline into the channel will take up some additional slack. The nice thing about re-screening, is that it is very forgiving. If you are not satisfied, carefully pull the spline out and give it a second try.

Yay for skinny spline!
Hallelujah! Someone carried this skinny spline that I needed! I have window screens from the mid-90's. My cats had shredded a couple of the screens and I wanted to replace the standard screening with the pet-proof type, and that kind is a LOT thicker. I knew I'd have to buy something thinner than what I pulled out of the screens but imagine my surprise when I went to the big box store and the thinnest spline in stock was considerably thicker than what I held in my hand. I searched Amazon, found this, and crossed my fingers that it would be skinny enough. Lucky me, it is! It's still a challenge to install but I get the feeling that it's a bit challenging under most circumstances. As usual, Amazon came through with great vendors who supply a great variety of products. Now I have more screens to go work on...

Works great with pet screen but might be too small depending on your use
Initially bought a kit but couldn't get the spline to stay in the RV screen door I was replacing. Some of my problem might have just been being a beginner but some might have been the wrong size spline. Did a lot of research and found this andNew York Wire 70587 Pet D-Fence Screening, 36-Inch by 84-Inch . Several suggestions were to put them together and they worked great for me. If you're using a more normal screen, this spline might be a bit too small depending on the tracks around your screen, but too big is also not a good thing. A little tough to keep connected in the corners, but this with the pet screen worked great for my application. From two torn screens in an RV screen door to pretty great looking installation. I will be doing this again!

Great for thick screen material in a thin frame
I was installing Suntex 80 which is twice as thick as normal fiberglass screen. It requires the thinnest spline you can find to install in the frame (New York Wire 5/16"). Lowes had New York Wire and Phifer .125 (very slightly larger hollow core, more ribs, very slightly longer ribs) for about $4 a bag and it was hard to install. This .120 spline still was an effort to install but went in easier while still holding the screen in tightly. It was also half the cost. Before installing if you held the two sizes of spline side by side in your hand you would notice the differences. After installing you would need strong light and a magnifying glass to tell the difference. My only regret is that I bought 4 bags of .125 spline at before I ordered the rest online. If I had used .120 from the start I would have saved almost $10 and some sweat and effort. At the cost of starting the project a few days later.

Strong: Stretches, doesn't break
Really liked this spline when I was repairing my screen door. Because I was replacing the original screen with heavier material, there was less room in the groove. By tugging on the spline and pushing down with the tool, it was really simple to make it fit. Plus, once I quit tugging, it contracted to fill the space, so it's a tight, secure fit. Easy to trim the edge, and last but not least, getting 25' meant I had more than enough for this repair job and some left over for the future. Totally recommend this product.

Good condition
These were perfect size for installing my RV screens. You do have to stretch it a bit as you go along installing but I figured it out.

Works without issue
I bought this spline when replacing the screen on a patio sliding screen door. Works as intended. I didn’t notice any obvious flaws or weak points in the spline during application. I also had a few feet left when done with the screen door which was nice, I’m saving it for when I redo a window.
