Easy to install

Our old ball catcher’s spring broke where the ball would not stay in so I needed a replacement. This ball catcher comes with some kind of metallic extender in case the hole in the door has gotten bigger and the standard 3/4” diameter won’t fit anymore. You can remove this extender to make it fit a standard 3/4” diameter. It’s nice that they give you this extender, though. Installation was easy as I just put it in the hole in the door. This comes with the plates and screws, but I didn’t need to use it since I used my old plates.

Easy to replace the worn out plungers.

My house is only 5 years old but the original door plungers were all worn out. I was able to use a set of pliers to pull out the broken plunger housings from the doors and then press the new ones into the holes. Then adjusted the new plunger height. I didn't need the plates or screws, so these hit the trash can.

Direct fit from what came with the house.

The ones that came with my house went bad. These were a direct replacement.

Diameter of outer ring is 1”

There’s a bit of ambiguity about the diameter of this ball catch. The diagram says 3/4” and the description says 1”. At first I was worried it wouldn’t be an exact fit to replace my existing ball catch, which was 1” when measured using the outer metal ring which surrounds the ball itself. I am pleased to confirm this one is the same. Replacement was quick and easy using a screwdriver. I’m ordering a few more to have on hand the next time one of these fails.

Easy replacement for original

There is a YouTube video that gives good hints on how to adjust to the correct height for perfect fit. The cat can no longer open the pantry doors as before.

For double closet door perfectly!

Worked perfect in our closet door. now we can close it and it stays as expected.

It works but adjustment will go off in time.

It has an adjustment nut what tends to turn on itself due to the vibration caused by the door. The same issue though is with all the other brands I was using. I guess design. Maybe some locktite will fix this.
