Easy window repair

A couple of months ago I didn’t even know this product existed. I started having problems with one of my windows which wouldn’t stay open. After careful inspection we figured out what was needed to repair the window and for a really minimal cost, we were able to do the repair ourselves. Window works again.

Worked with modifications

It worked but had to grind down the thickness slightly. The screw head was also too thick to fit, so I had to use the original pan head screw. Overall it worked, but be prepared to make modifications for your specific application. The steel is strong but easy to drill and grind where needed. Make sure to measure how much overhang you need before drilling holes if the predrilled holes don’t line up.

It works.

I recently moved into a new house. One of the windows was missing this particular part on the bottom of the frame. It is a easy fix mostly. The parts fix perfectly. The complication for me was that the plastic frame was broken so there was no place I can put in the screws. Couple trips to HomeDepot led me to few small metal corner pieces and I frame them together to support this bar. The bar is purely metal and pretty solid. I had one point try to use my drill to make a new hole on it and totally failed. With less than $10, I avoid changing a new window. Happy ending.

The screw on the bar is super hard to get in or out, unless using sort of screw/nail machine. is it ever been test for self use? Yeah, you could say me that do not have much strength to make it happen. Then it should mark as professor/specialist use only. Edit: Since it is the first review, even it is a criticism, i will make it 3 star, but actual review is 1 star for me.
