Worked better than expected
I am using this to stand off of a wooded structure my Ham Radio wire antenna. What a difference these stand offs have made. HAM RADIO Operators, if you are using a end fed antenna along your house, this is the right product!

Good for poly rope or tape
These have worked out very nicely so far, especially for the poly rope. However, they will break off with wire line. Wire puts too much pressure on them. Easy to get into a tree or wood post with a gentle hammer tap. I use a screw driver to help twist. I don’t have a lot of strength in my hands. Will also work great with poly tape. Stay secure. Easy to get rope on and off. I like two rows of wire in the middle of fencing so we had to use something different to adhere wire.

The ROUND cross-section is nice for antenna wire...
I used 22 of these standoff insulators to install an 80m loop ('sky loop') antenna around the perimeter of my house under the eaves. This is one of the few standoffs that has a ROUND cross section, so as the wire changes direction there is no sharp corner to stress the wire. The diameter of the plastic is just under a half inch -- 29/64". The open diagonal slot is handy so you don't have to have the end of the wire in your hand to insert it. Once the wire is under any tension at all, it will never come out on its own. The plastic body is 1-3/4" long, the screw is 1-5/8" long. I predrilled all the holes and screwed them in by hand. Not one of the plastic bodies separated from its metal screw. I spray painted mine to match the eave paint color.

Not bullet proof but very well made. - I will purchase more.
Well made if you don't abuse them! So far I have put 8 of these to work. On one the first I put a little too much stress on it expecting the wood to compress a little while I rotated the gap to the top, in retrospect I should have backed it out a quarter turn. My bad.

Missing 1 piece
These do the job but the reviews that recommend drilling holes are correct to make installation easier. My problem was with the Amazon packaging. The bag had been cut open and 1 piece was missing(24 instead of 25). I had figured on 1 extra in case I broke one and used exactly what was shipped with no extras. Other than that, they seem to work well.

nice solid rings. I'm using rope so I twist it a bit while inserting so the aluminum strands don't get caught up when installing.

Works well, but can break
It is relatively easy to screw in, but if it' under sudden pressure, the plastic at the end can break. I have replaced about 20% in my horse pastures over the past couple of years.
