Never burn your popcorn again! (Cover the bowl you pop the kernels into or they fly everywhere)

Orville Redenbacher was actually a good family friend, he used to come to family dinners when I was a kid! I've always had an air popper growing up and some of my fondest memories were using it to pop kernels into a new large paper grocery bag (you have to keep the nozel covered while popping or the kernels go ALL OVER but be careful as the machine gets unavoidably hot) while melting butter in the measuring cup that's on top of the popper. Now I use a big bowl but cover it with paper towels so the kernels don't fly out and I also use the Orville Redenbacher butter flavoring. It's like having movie theater popcorn at home and THE BEST part is that with an air popper, the kernels NEVER EVER BURN! Be careful, the machine gets HOT, they all do, this isn't a flaw, that's just how they work. I wish it had an OFF switch but unplugging it when it's done works just the same. It's just like my childhood air popperz I LOVE IT!!

This makes popcorn really fast!

I love this popcorn maker, it makes the popcorn faster than what I was using before hand and I can cut out the butter and salt, making the popcorn healthy. The only thing that might be a problem is that it shoots the pop-corn sometimes all over the counter, but that's not a problem for me ( I still eat it ).

AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL? OH MY! YES!

Bought this model as our ORIGINAL REDEINBOCKER DIED AFTER 33 YEARS! It has an easier to clean butter melter, the unit operates at a higher temp and pops the kernels quicker, plus it is once again a healthier air popper! BUYING THIS WILL NEVER BE A MISTAKE!

No on and off switch

There’s no on and off switch but it works great! The butter melting tray is kind of useless too, you’re better off just microwaving your butter. Overall it’s a nice quick way to make real popcorn, would buy again.

It pops popcorn very well!

It arrived in it's box and was sealed very well. The box was made of carboard, the tape on the box was made of tape. I did not have it studied in a laboratory, however, it looked like cardboard and tape. I cut the tape on the box and there was a foam thingy inside, like foam peanuts but harder, and the three pieces of the machine were each in separate plastic bags. Again, I did not check what all of this stuff was made from, however I'm pretty confident none of it would give me any diseases or cancer from touching it, so I did not wear gloves. I pulled the machine, instructions, and the two other pieces out and cut the other side of the box open and folded the box up for recycling, because I am a recycler and it makes me feel good. After removing everything from plastic bags, and setting it up, yes, I opened the paper manual and read it. I then put the plastic bags in my recycling bin. I read it again, just to make sure I had them memorized, then made sure I matched all the parts, there were two including the popper. There were warnings all over the product and the instructions were quite specific and clear on how to use the machine to not hurt yourself or others. With all the reminders everywhere, I am certain they are there from people who did not read instructions or thought touching it while it was popping was a good idea. I don't know, I tend to have a decent amount of common sense. I filled it with unpopped popcorn kernels and plugged it in and put a bowl underneath it. I made sure I did not overfill it, it reminds you everywhere not to do that, and it also reminds you everywhere to always replace the top immediately after using cause it may melt a bit, but it was designed to do this, unless you do not follow the instructions. I personally learned how to follow instructions when I was about 4 or 5 years old, however there are many reviews here that seem to be one star and I question their ability to follow instructions. In about 15 seconds, popcorn started popping and fell out of it into my bowl, I could smell some of the plastic, but it was the first time it was used, and again, it was designed to melt a little, so I figure it's just the breaking in period. Sort of like when you get anything new, it needs to be used a couple times. I watched it all as it happened, as per the instructions, and stayed at the popcorn poppers side, in case it erupted into a fireball or deadly popcorn projectiles, and when it was done. I could tell because there were only a few popcorn kernels bouncing around, however it had not even got close to the 3 minute limit the machine stated in the instructions. I unplugged it. I let it cool down, as per the instructions, and then emptied the 3 kernels that didn't come out, into a rubbish bin, I figure they are biodegradable, so I won't recycle the popcorn kernels. I consumed the yummy and healthy nutrient rich low calorie popcorn and I was surprised the machine didn't have a nuclear meltdown, as I truly wanted to show everyone wonderful pictures of an air popper exploding. It popped the popcorn though, as it was supposed to do. And it tasted like popcorn. I let the machine cool down, as per the very detailed instructions and all the warnings all over the thing told me to do, and then wrapped the cord around it and put it in a cupboard for later use. It popped popcorn and did it very well and by following the instructions, I had no difficulty in using it. Win win for me. I definitely recommend it!

Straight Forward- and Simple

We have really enjoyed this product so far. We love popcorn and this gives us a less expensive way to eat our favorite snack. Please be advised- this thing gets HOT on top! (The lid.) And a few pieces will inevitably end up flying out of the machine on to the floor. (My dog loves/hates this part.) Popcorn is air popped, with little/no flavor for you to dress up how you like. We love the popcorn butter and seasoning because we can make it as flavorful or plain as we want. This thing is so easy to use. Legit fill and plug in, unplug when done. :) Give time to cool- store it away. Enjoy!

Great popcorn maker for healthy snacks

Good value for the price and makes delicious easy popcorn as an alternative for the nasty chemicals in microwave bags. Very crisp fresh taste. Nice way to save plastic in the long run too by buying fewer snack bags.

I think this little machine is great! I bought it for my dad for Christmas. He loves to snack and we decided popcorn was a good choice, except we would buy the $6 bags and they had too much butter or salt. With this we don’t add anything. He eats it fresh and plain and he loves it. The only complaint is with the cover that is suppose to keep the kernels from popping out. They tend to fly all over the place so take cover. They’re hot and they hit hard. We just tip it back a little to keep those kernels from hitting us. Otherwise this was a great purchase and it’s used daily.

Not for UK market

Just bought it , I missed that has US plug and thus incompatible. Also seller is mentioned in Amazon as Juniper UK but there is no such thing, after contacting the seller was told that they are in the US only so I will have to pay the cost for returning.

Seller misrepresented themselves as a UK seller called Junipers-UK. Have now changed to Junipers-USA. This item is useless here. And they want me to pay postage to send it back, to the USA! DO NOT BUY.

Todo muy bien. Excepto que carece que interruptor. Tienes que conectarla y desconectarla de la corriente electrica cada vez que se usa.

Tener en cuenta que se necesita un recipiente con la suficiente capacidad para recibir las palomitas. Me gustó que todos los granos se cocinan y las palomitas salen bastante infladas.

muy buen precio, y las palomitas rápidas, sin grasa y en un instante...genial.....bueno para la oficina.... el tamaño, práctico..eso sí, tener cuidado durante su uso pues el aire es muy muy caliente....
