Choo choo

This game is amazing! Keeps us entertained for hours. Does not include any train pieces, but it makes it more fun because my friends and family choose our own small household items and call them our trains.

Nice Dominos Set

It’s a nice set. Unhappy with the way it was packaged to mail. The tin came damaged from shipping.

great set

My kids are loving dominos right now - we have 4 sets and this is one of our favorites. There are enough pieces for our family to play together and have a good game. The tin is great for storage as opposed to some other sets in a non reusable box.

Color is deceiving

The pictures and the tin show specific colors that are the same as another Pressman set that I have, but the actual tiles are mostly gray and black dots and the dot sizes vary. The 12 is not red, it is gray. The 11 is not green, the nine is not purple…

Perfect for gamenight!

Box of dominoes, which are perfect for game night. The tiles are bright and easy to read. The container they come in is sturdy and easy to tuck away in my closet for storage.

sturdy and good quality

There were mixed reviews on these when I purchased so I was skeptical. They were all good quality and I like the metal storage container. The instructions are sufficient, but you can also look up games on line.

Such a fun, family-friendly game

Our friends just taught us Mexican Train dominoes and we had so much fun we immediately ordered our own set. I chose these because they are double twelves and were described as high quality. Having received them I would say the quality is decent, and certainly good enough for us, but they do have some flaws. Since others may be more discerning about their domino tiles, I'll explain below. Pros: - Dominoes are fun to play and they're a great learning tool to engage children (and adults) while practicing some basic math skills; - These arrived well-wrapped and the tin is a good size for storage; - The quality is fair value despite some minor flaws (regarding some tiles with permanent smudges, slightly non-uniform tile thickness); - It’s a fun, family-friendly game that’s very easy to learn and provides a great way to spend an afternoon; and - I love any game that encourages people to spend more time engaging each other around the family dinner table rather than on their individual electronic devices. Cons: - If you’re a real stickler about quality you may be disappointed with a few dominoes arriving with small, but permanent, smudge marks on their backs and some dots are painted a little less than perfectly (see my pictures); - you may also notice a few tiles aren't completely uniform in tile thickness - we don't notice when they're flat on the table but can feel it in hand and sometimes see it when the tiles are lined up on our trays (see picture); - We don’t take dominoes too seriously so we're not overly concerned about having a few smudge marks, but suppose it wouldn’t be good if the markings were prominent on the backsides of particularly important tiles like double zeros; - The colours don’t match those shown on the tin – for instance, our double 12s are light grey rather than the red shown on the tin – I don’t mind different colours than shown, but I wish there was more differentiation between the colours with fewer darkly-coloured tiles that look quite similar (when your eyes tire after a couple hours of play, it's easier if the dots are more brightly coloured and more dissimilar). Tips: - Go online and download an App to keep track of scores to avoid needing score paper (Players add their individual scores up after each round, then one Player types them into the app and it keeps track of all players and their additive scores); - We found wooden trays sold here:Premium Beechwood Domino Racks/Trays - Set of 4, Perfect for Dominoes, Mexican Train & Chickenfoot and they are excellent quality (we find it's much easier for each player to have two racks). For all ages above five or so

The Double 12 colour dot dominos is an excellent game. We were introduced to it as an after dinner game between the 6 of us. It was good fun and a cut above ordinary dominos. We thoroughly enjoyed it and so bought a set ourselves. It keeps you alert and is a laugh. The game comes with full instructions and in a good tin. You can play various games with it and I'd recommend it happily. The tiles have a nice feel to them too and durable.

Great game

Friends of ours introduced us to the game. Played once and now we are hooked. We ordered our own set and are very satisfied with the quality. Arrive in perfect condition.

Definitely good for the price

Bought these to play Mexican Train. They cost half the price of the actual game and come in a lovely tin. It contains the central piece but does not contain any train pieces. we use some coloured counters from another game. Definitely good for the price. Mexican Train itself is a fun but irritating game at the same time. Causes so many laughs and arguements at the same time (in a good way)!!!

Mexican trains are great!

The game of Mexican trains is addictive, but also has many rule variations, so make sure all players agree on the rules beforehand - failure in this area can lead to tears! The rules included in this set are open to interpretation, but this is not important as long you agree what they are to be. This particular set of double-twelve dominoes is well made with clear coloured dots, although some of the colours are similar (inevitable with twelve colours). The dominoes have a nice feel to them and enough weight to be stable when standing up (you don't want your dominoes falling over for all to see). There was no smearing of the dot colouring and no marks on the underside (as reported in another review). Be prepared for the tin box (incidentally it is decorated differently to that shown on the web page) to be damaged, as the packaging it was sent in was woefully inadequate. I spent half an hour in the shed gently teasing the "bruised" corners back into a good enough shape for the lid to fit acceptably well. This was a pity as the box is attractive. All in all, worth the £9 paid and would recommend it to all. PS have just spent a week in France staying with French friends and had to leave the game behind! Another is on order. PPS Sep 12 - the design shown now (red with two dominoes) is the one I received (quite different to the design being shown when I bought it over two years ago).
