Still on the Market and just as Great.
These tongs are Excellent! We use these all the time. I purchased the 12 inch dripless that have the plastic ends that can be used with a lot of heat in nonstick pans. They are a perfect size, fold up nice and fit in a drawer. This purchase is my second pair. My older ones are still being used. The only problem after having them for over 15 years is the rubber on the grip has started to deteriorate. Everything else is as good as new, no rust and the spring and latch are still good. The ends of the tongs have taken a beating but have not budged. I thought, I need another pair and I wish they still made these but I am sure they don't. I was pleasantly surprised THEY DO still make them! It was get my wish day. We are happily a 2 tong family now.

I own one in every size!
I was looking for some quality tongs that used the traditional design found in restaurant services all over the world, and these Progressive International Locking Tongs are the perfect choice! I first purchased the 12" version to see how they worked and was so impressed with the quality and the feel, I ordered one in every other size they offer as well! The short 9" is great for serving salad, the 12" can be used both during cooking or as a serving tool and the 16" is perfect for Wok cooking under high heat or when frying on a stove top. Plenty long enough to keep your hands away from any grease/oil splatter, but still give you full sturdy control over your food! I like the 16" so much for this purpose that I have stopped using most of my traditional Wok tools and just use my trusty tongs instead! The black plastic handle guards do a good job of keeping any radiant heat off my hands when using these on the grill. I even use the 16 inchers to move hot coals and smoking wood around in my Weber smoker! The locking system is great and I have no problem with the way it works. PULL OUT on the RING to lock and PUSH IN to UNLOCK. You can lock and unlock these one handed with your hands full using this simple but effective locking system. These tongs are a MUST HAVE for any serious home chef!

So versatile! I use them all the time!
I've owned these tongs for over a year and I love them! I make a lot of vegetable and appetizer trays, so they have been extremely useful. They are the perfect serving utensils for olives, baby carrots, sliced red bell pepper, baby dill pickles, grapes, apple slices, pretzels, deli meats, cheeses, lil smokies, hamburgers and toppings like sliced tomatoes, pickles, sliced onion, lettuce etc. My mother even bought some after one of her visits because she liked them so much! One reviewer said they are too small for broccoli and that might be true, although I have used the utensil with the small tines to grab the stem or part of the floret. But I usually use slightly bigger tongs for foods like broccoli, cauliflower, and whole strawberries. Overall, I have used these small tongs countless times and they are still shiny and work perfectly. I am so happy with them!

great for use around kitchen
tongs have many uses in a busy kitchen. my old one broke at the hinge as the bolt keeping it together fell apart. i don't see much improvement in the design unfortunately but as long as it works, it does work well. - 9 inch version is a solid size to give you good control. longer only necessary if you are bbq on a big grill. - spring loaded is key for ease of use. - the black circle thing in the back allows you to keep it closed when not in use. again an essential feature. light weight. NOTE: this is exactly the same as the slightly pricier Oxo version (except the black circle has Oxo stamped on it) so don't bother with that.

The best of all I have cooked with!
Easy to unlock, use and re-lock with one hand while using. I bought 3 and love them. It has 3 lock positions: closed, fully open and half-open. Stays closed when not using and in the utensil drawer. The grips are well grooved and hold food well, no slipping. I discarded all of my other tongs. These work the best.

Small but perfect
Great quality. As previously mentioned, these are pretty small. I try and put them with whatever we don't want people loading up on--the expensive food. It takes just enough time and effort to make people move on rather than shoveling food onto their plate while others wait and stare. When serving food for my family, we don't bother. Pickles, cheese, tomatoes...people just grab them with their hands and move on. When serving food for my in-laws, they are a must. Just the sight of someone putting their hands in a food dish in a buffet line at a family event is enough to make some of them gag (if not audibly). If we have something that needs bigger tongs we...ummm...use bigger tongs. Not a big deal.
