I like it but not wide enough.
I don’t like that it is not wide enough. I have not had to wash it yet so don’t know how that will be. It does absorb the water well. I do like the thickness of it.

Nice Dish Mat
I got tired of using a towel as a drying rack for my dishes. So I did some research and decided that the Prepara Deluxe Dry-Dock Hygienic Dish Mat was exactly what I needed. I bought 2 of these. I keep one on the countertop pretty much all the time and keep the second one hanging on the inside of my cabinet beneath the sink. It works great for placing the dishes on to dry. I've had no problem with the mat staying wet and having mold build-up or anything. There is a loop on the mat that is used to hang the mat up when not in use. The mat folds with a piece folding from left to right and another piece folding right to left. The problem is, that there is nothing to keep the folded pieces together to hold them in place while hanging, Therefore, when opening and closing the door that the hanging mat is stored on, the mat unfolds making it difficult to close the door without having to refold the mat and closing the door quickly enough so that the door will close before the mat has time to unfold.\ That being said, this was a great purchase for dishes to be placed on for drying.

I really like the diversity of use with the different folds and materials in this product. The only negative for me is I would have liked a bit larger size.

Why I ditched my dish rack in favor of Prepara Drydock Mats
I got so tired of cleaning and drying my traditional dish drying rack to keep mold and bacteria at bay. The Prepara drydock mats are easy to use, clean, and they can be tucked away in a cabinet or drawer when not in use. It also helped me get back precious counter space that was being occupied by the old dish rack.

Not as pictured
The product design is not as pictured. It did not match one I had bought before. The new ones now are rose gray, not blue gray. The pattern is now a chevron and not squares. See picture for side by side to see difference. I returned and the replacement sent was also rose gray with chevrons. Other than that the product is fine.

Very functional
I purchased this to hold the pots and pans I do not put in the dishwasher. It is nice and thick - with the idea being that the foam will wick away the moisture. I was afraid that the thickness would cause a moldy smell, but this has not been the case. It absorbs moisture, keeping it off the sink while awaiting my time to dry. I usually do not leave my dishes on the mat to dry long as I dry them with a towel once I have finished washing any and all the pots and pans. That being said, even when I get a lot of water on it, it has never smelt moldy or musty. I just through it in the washer once a week as I feel like it should be getting dirty despite still smelling clean :) My only desire for this mat would be that it was a bit wider. We are a family of six and so may have a few more pots and pans than others so for many this may not be a problem. All in all, nice mat that functions well.

Pattern/color does not match listed description/picture.
This is the third drydock dish drying mat I have purchased. The drying mat is excellent. The reason for less than 5 rating is the color and pattern changed without notice. The pattern/color of the first two purchased match the product description and picture that is currently listed. The one I received today does not match. I wanted the pattern/color listed.

Favorite kitchen item - ever!
I bought one of these years ago and was so happy to find it on Amazon - so ordered a replacement. When I got it, I read the packaging - that it's WASHABLE - so decided to try that - and it came out like NEW!! So, what to do with this one? Gave it to my friend as part of her housewarming gift - and she LOVES it too! (Might still buy another one as a backup - I love it that much!) It works so well for those few hand wash items (wine glasses, coffee cups, etc.). Doesn't take up a lot of space and allows things to air dry properly.

Useful item on sink worktop
Good size, good value, washes well and doesnt in fact show the dirt being grey. I bought 3 and rotate them - useful for drying glasses & laying cutlery on it.
