Solid, beautiful, and easy to install

Bought the entire pfister ashfield collection - towel ring, tp holder, and faucet. The towel ring and tp holder have the exact same setup structure and are easy to convert (a couple screws to undo and reattach) to open left or right. I’ve seen people complain about the old design but the new design to keep the rung on the post is ingenious. You pop the cap off of the end of the part jutting out and that is where you insert a screw to keep the ring stable on the installation post. Then you pop the little cap back on to cover up the screw. (No longer small screw on the side of the unit that never seems to stay tight enough!) These products and the new design is 10/10.

I'm Cautiously Optimistic

Love, love, love the looks and feel of this towel ring. It matches the rest of the brushed nickel Pfister Ashfield set I bought. But I've read the reviews, and was concerned that the ring would fall off and damage my new marble countertops. And believe me.... this ring is so heavy that if it did fall off, it would definitely chip the marble. But my husband took a pre-emptive stance with this, and put some kind of stuff on the screw threads to keep it from falling off. It had better work, because if it doesn't, nobody in this house is gonna be happy. lol Other reviewers were saying it fell off about once a month like clockwork. We'll see if the thread goop works over time, and I'll report back and tweak my review as necessary. UPDATE: Ok... so the towel rings have been installed, and we've been using them now for a full two months. The screws have not loosened, and we've had no trouble at all with the rings falling off. I checked with my husband to see what kind of "goop" he used. He said it was Loctite. He said they make three kinds of Loctite. The "easy release" type, the "medium release" type, and "fugedaboutit". lol He said he used the "medium release" type, and I couldn't be happier. No problems whatsoever. I won't update this review again UNLESS the screws ever do loosen up, and the rings falls off the wall. If you don't see an update here, it means the "medium release" type Loctite is still working, and we've had no problems of any kind with it. They're still hanging happily on our bathroom wall. ;)

Expensive for what it is, but it looks nice

I purchased this towel hook from Amazon to match my new faucetPrice Pfister F042YP0U Ashfield 4-Inch Centerset Lavatory Faucet, Rustic Bronze . We had chrome fixtures with gold trim before so it didn't look quite right with the new faucet. I found that bronze isn't an easy color to match so I was happy to find that Amazon carries Price Pfister accessories. I also purchased the towel barPrice Pfister BTB-YP2U Ashfield 24" Single Towel Bar, Rustic Bronze and the toilet paper holderPrice Pfister BPH-YP1U Ashfield Paper Holder, Rustic Bronze . They were all easy to install. I didn't have to look at the instructions because there were only a few pieces and it was pretty intuitive. The thing that took the longest was repairing the wall where the old hook was located. I wanted to place this one so it didn't interfere with an electrical outlet. The old one was right above it and the towel hung over the outlet. This Ashfield line has a nice classy look and seem to be well made. It was an easy way to update the guest bathroom. I'm very happy with the results.

Bathroom fixtures look good

We updated our bathrooms and were very happy with the style, quality, and Tuscan bronze finish. In addition to the towel ring, we chose double towel racks, toilet tissue holders, and faucets in the same style.

Love it, but be forewarned......

I love this towel hook and all of the Pfister Tuscan Bronze collections. I have faucets in two styles. Unfortunately my faucet collection did not have a matching towel ring/hook, so I purchased this one to use in my laundry room. Because the finish matches you don't really notice that the styles do not belong together(though they obviously do not match...) If it were in a more prominent location I would not mix the collections. I marked stars off because the hook unscrews itself from the base over time with use. This has happened 2-3 times. It is always a surprise to have the hook fall off onto the floor when you go to hang up a towel. My husband is a general contractor, so I know the installation was done correctly. So from my viewpoint, this issue is a design flaw. I have Kohler towel rings that are in constant use and have never had any issues like this with them. If you choose to purchase this towel hook, just know upfront that you might be reattaching it periodically. Regardless of the problem however, this is still a lovely and stylish addition to your room and decor.

Looks nice, small design flaw

Looks lovely. The only bummer is that there is a screw on top of it that you cannot cover up. Why did they put the screw right on top and not on the bottom? Or at least give you a bronze screw instead of stainless? It is very noticeable. Probably not to anyone but me, but I notice it :)

Nice product, but very over-priced. The value wasn't there for me, but we bought/installed them out of convenience - we knew they'd match our Pfister Ashfield faucets. I was pleased with the value I got from the Pfister Ashfield faucets/shower system, but I feel like we were really ripped off with the towel rings/towel bars/toilet paper holders. In hindsight, I wished I'd looked around a bit more, because there are a lot of other nice pieces out there!
