Just bought it - after reading about 30 reviews
I read many of the reviews and there were concerns about putting it together and getting it up on the wall correctly. It was a breeze and up in 15 minutes and it is sturdy. Look at the directions carefully to get it right the first time. The bar with the holes in the back can take a little time if the bar isn't put the right way to start with. We have 12 inches above our sink so it was going to be a tight fit at 11 1/2 inches. It fit perfectly with some room to spare. The bottom laid on top of our window frame (which likely gives more support and and we had a stud in the center and two others to the right and the left. I think we got lucky with studs that were close together. There is a recessed light just above it. We have mostly stainless appliances and cookware so we got the satin nickle and it looks great with our stainless. There seems to be different opinions on how many pans. So this is what I have up; A large kitchen pan (for soups, etc), two smaller sized skillets, a medium sized pan, a small plan, a colander, and some utensils. There is probably more room but I don't need it. The lids are on the top and there is room to spare. Everything is in reach and the hooks do not come off when you pull a pan off. I have no problems getting them up or down and I'm only 5'2. Finally, as for the size, we have a large great room kitchen/dining room with room for a couch and large hutches. So this is not a small kitchen. However, over the window needed something small and this fits and it doesn't look out of place at all in a large kitchen. I highly recommend this product.

Great rack. Be careful how you install!
I bought this rack in 2005, and I'm writing this review in 2020 to warn you to be careful how you install it. First, some other review data: this rack has done everything I hoped it would. 5 stars! I'm a tall man, so installation was not a problem. (It might be tricky if you need a ladder to reach the top-most screw, but I didn't...) The grate and the bottom edge provide lots of places to hang things from. I have a big set of stainless steel pots and lids that I store on this rack. Small lids go in a pot, big lids go atop the shelf (grate), and I bought a set of extra hooks to hang everything from. So I had not complaints until 3am a few weeks ago when the top screw pulled itself out of the drywall and half my pots and pans and big lids fell to the floor in a clatter. What a way to wake up! This is NOT the fault of the pot rack. It's because the mounting to the drywall was not strong enough. (So -1 star for not good enough mounting hardware.) If you are mounting to drywall, best would be to have the top center mounting screw fixed into a stud. But if you can't, then don't use an "expanding" anchor (a sleeve that gets fatter when you screw into it). Instead, use an anchor that crosses laterally behind the drywall. These are called "toggle" or "molly" bolts. I've already bought my new anchors, and I'm hoping for another 15 years of service from my pot rack. But you should #LearnFromMyFail and mount it properly from the beginning. And the maker should include better hardware.

Excellent
I love the sturdiness. I had no room left in my cupboards and this really helped me organize!

Updating my review of the graphite pot rack 2003-2012
This has to be about the least expensive pot rack. It does sort of look inexpensive and it is really small. I was able to fit only 12 items on it; yes...there are only 12 hooks, not 16 as stated above. Even if there were 16 hooks, I don't know where the extra 4 items would have gone. You get 6 hooks that are sharply angled and 6 that are like cup hooks (curved). I put a 13" heavy grill pan, a wok, 2x 7" omlet pans, 2 x 9" omlets, 2 x 11" omlets, 1 x 1QT revere saucepan, 1 x 2 QT revere suacepan, 1 x 2.1 QT Tfal saucepan and 1 x 3.1 QT Tfal saucepan. The Tfal handles were large and the angled hooks had to be reversed to make it work for me. The whole lot looks pretty crowded, but nice. As for installation, there are absolutely no instructions covering the attachment of the rack to the wall. I got (3) 1.5" screws which I had doubts about, so I used longer screws and anchors on the lower two holes. By the way, if your studs are like mine, they are 16" apart; the lower holes are not 16", but much further, so only the top screw went into a stud and lined up over my window nicely. I would suggest using longer screws since 1 1/2" really means 7/8" if going into a stud through 5/8" drywall. Like I said, it is really packed, so if you have more than I did, get a bigger one, not this one. UPDATE: I've had this rack for 9 years and still like having it despite the size. I keep a pair of BBQ tongs around just in case I manage to knock a hook off it's normal spot, which does happen a few times a year. I had to mount it pretty high up, so I don't use the shelf for anything since I can't reach it without a ladder. I don't regret getting this item and if the decor calls for a change in the color/finish, I am certain I would be able to find a good spray paint and make the change myself, easily.
