Measurements and such The package measured 9” wide by 6” tall, and about 1” thick, with Vera Bradley’s RFID Deluxe Travel Wallet inside. The package weighed in at a solid (5) ounces. The front, of the package, had warnings about the wallet’s [lack of safety to children]. Inside was something interesting Inside the package was Vera Bradley’s RFID Deluxe Travel Wallet, of course, flattened, but not as flat as a pancake. Accompanying the wallet were multiple Vera Bradley “Micro-Pak Enhanced PE Sheets. About 6” x 3” in size.” What are Micro-Pak Enhanced PE Sheets? A Micro-Pak Enhanced PE Sheet is intended to [control] [inhibit] [mitigate] [odor causing bacteria,] mold and mildew on products enclosed in packaging intended for shipment. Hmm, interesting. PE sheets are supposed to eliminate mold spore growth as soon as relative humidity begins to near unsafe levels. This unique humidity-based activation ensures the wallet is protected from the threat of mold growth for extended periods of time. What does that mean to me? Attention to detail! I like that. Looks As can be expected, from a Vera Bradly product, this is very fashionable, a rich Cloud Vine Multi design (think of a vine and flower pattern in Pinks, lavender, blues, purples, and greens for a springtime color palette, with a lavender zipper going the full length of this wallet. The wallet is soft, almost silky, beautiful, versatile, sophisticated, and desirable. To me, it resembles a typical rectangular wallet, and in some ways, a clutch. Reason being the wallet is more horizontal in nature but has no wrist strap or handle of any sort. A wrist strap would have been, which would have made this much more versatile (rather than to place in a purse). Interior The interior has so many slots and pockets for money, credit card, passport, and such that it is off the scale. I love this. The material is the same as the exterior, cotton. Smooth, wow, this is nice. My spouse wants to use it ha ha… The cotton is recycled cotton. Interior features two ID slip pockets, four passport slip pockets, ten card slip pockets and an elastic pen holder – can be used for cash too. Care Spot clean with mild detergent and a soft, damp cloth, rinse thoroughly; lay flat to dry. Odors This has no odors. How does it feel? It does not feel like there is any weight to this, at (5) ounces (empty, but it’s no big hulking whopper of a wallet. How does it look? I think it looks trendy and fashionable. It’s so unique others will think this a couture luxury item, that’s how good it looks and is made. What about rain? I do not worry about getting this wallet wet, (but not too wet), it is relatively easy to clean and dry. Any other pockets? Yes, exterior zip, I love it. How does it wear? This drapes softly and beautifully, from the hand with a 6” strap drop, and adds to feminine aesthetics for any princess, however, a prince does use this too. Mom approved? Yes. I give this a double fisted thumbs-up approval. Giftable? Oh, big time. Great as a gift. Any person who gives this will look like a hero. It looks triple digit priced. Plus, there is a wonderful thick brand tag on the inside). Rough dimensions The wallet is about 9” x 6” x 1”. The interior is of a similar size. Performance It’s very soft sided, so can collapse easily. Also, the bottom is narrow, in the 4” area. The handles add-on about 6”. Country of origin Cambodia Criticism There are no tags attached or affixed that outline what this is made of. If I gave it as a gift, the recipient would have no idea the exterior and interior was made of cotton. Not noting that selling point on the wallet is a big marketing misstep and a big enough surprise to take a star away. Think about it, if I am at the store, and a competing wallet has a tag noting cotton, and this does not, and I like them both equally and they are the same price, I am going to pick the wallet that references being made of cotton, and even more so when I learned it was made of recycled cotton. Value I like the idea of the exterior being made of recycled cotton and consciously crafted (not a seam or thread out of place); So, I can understand the mid-level price. Bottom-line? I wish this had a wrist strap (but I am not taking off for that, as that was no surprise, it was obvious in the listing. The surprise was lack of identification of the material. We like this and would select it again, it’s a super strong four (4) stars, and would have been five (5) but for the lack of identification of the cotton material in any label. If it’s cotton, have a tag that says it is. I hope my thoughts provided information.
