Great upgrade
This is a great upgrade for above ground pools. I had already upgraded the pump the previous season so all the adapters already matched. Setting it up and figuring out the back wash took some trial and error but finally got it and it works great. No need to replace those crappy paper filters just backwash the sand rinse the sand and you're good. Highly recommend

The Link for Bestway Product support through does not work.
The Bestway FlowClear Sand Filter appears to be a decent products and would have given it a 5 Star. CONS: 1; Missing several rubber seales/washers (Only found 2). 2; One of the post on the intake filter (SOFA) is broken off and was no where in the box. 3; The link through Amazon to Contact Bestway Support does not work. Error message occurs. 4; Luckily I can get on YouTube because there is NO step-by-step instructions. Would like to get replacements instead of having to return the entire Product back.

Not what is pictured for 800gal but works for me
I bought this because the stock pump on my 14x32 summer waves pool was junk. The first summer we opened it, I did nothing but fight nasty water. We put it away for two years. Then I saw this pump at its low price for the 800gal model, so I bought it. No, it is not what is pictured. The 800gal does not have the large separate filter portion. It is one medium sized device with a small filter built into the model. It was disappointing but, I decided to give it a go anyway. It was fairly cheap, comparatively speaking. Hook up was a little confusing but, I put that on my excitement and tendency to see pictures backwards. The only water issue I had this year was mustard algae at set up. I believe this was from the year it was up and nasty and then put away. This pump and proper chemicals got rid of it quickly enough. Then it was smooth sailing all summer. One thing I did notice was, if you don’t “rinse” after you backwash, the handle gets really hard to turn and very difficult to get on the proper setting. So, after every backwash, do a proper rinse and save yourself a headache. It doesn’t have much suction for connecting a vacuum hose. It does work well enough but also, takes a while, and the little filter clogs up pretty quickly, so I have to clear it out a few times during vacuuming. All in all, it’s a good product for me and, would definitely purchase it again in a pinch. The only thing that would ever make me upgrade was if I got a bigger pool or, wanted a little more vacuum suction.

Pressure gauge has quit
Haven't had the pump a year and the gage has quit. And the ring that holds the top on will not seal is leaking

Different from picture
I was very confused when I got this filer in. It does not have a separate filter basket section. I think the design of far less efficient than the separate pieces. In this one the water feeds through a basket at the bottom of the pump. So you have to unattached a hose to clean the basket. It is also does not seem as power as a sand filter usually is. So far it is working okay, but I was just a little surprised.

Did all parts come with it
What I don’t understand is I just received the big pump with all the hoses, but the smaller part that was on the picture with the big pump wasn’t included. I thought I was getting all of it. So I’m hoping I hooked everything up right that was kinda difficult to understand

Not clear instructions
A lot of good things came with the product. The only thing is the instructions were a little too vague not very easy to understand not user-friendly. We needed to watch YouTube videos and other problem-solving things to figure out how to get it completely together correctly. But after that it seems to work just great. We use this on our metal 8’ x 8’ Water trough pool.

It has been running for 2 months straight
I bought this at the beginning of the summer and it has been running Non-Stop and is now September 10th. It really helped me clean up my pool after having been up all winter. Should be plugged into a ground fault plug but I have mine plugged into a extension cord. If you unplug the extension cord from the wall it will trip the reset button on the supplied plug. There's one review talking about how it was plugged into an outlet controlled by a light switch. Of course every time the switch is flipped it will trip the fuse in the cord. I highly recommend.

Impressed
We have used the small pumps included with the pools and they burn out before the season is done. We upgraded to this pump this summer and are very happy with it. It is nice not having to replace filters. It has good suction and flow

Works good
It was quite easy to set up!! Was a little difficult to get the pump to prime!! But works great after it did!! Moves more water then the original pump I had for my intex pool!! I also purchased the over the side skimmer basket... they work well together and keep pool crystal clear

So far it's decent
Took awhile to find the sweet spot for the clamp around center so it wouldn't leak. Louder then the original pump that came but seems to push more water around. Will see how it is in future. Just installed today

Excelente
The media could not be loaded. Me costò comprender un poquito el funcionamiento por el lenguaje, sin embargo me apoye de vídeos tutoriales aunque hay que descifrar porque no hay en español, después de ensayo-error porque tenia aire en mis mangueras ya le encontré y estoy muy fascinada con su funcionamiento. Espero y me tarde y no se descomponga rápido.
