More Specs & Initial Review
(5/2/2018) Below are more detailed specs after talking with the great people at AirHead / Kwik Tek. I have to give this "New" AirHead SUP Pump 5 Stars because it would be a great pump, IF I had more Drop-Stitch things to inflate...that would also required much Higher Pressures than our brand new Advanced Elements Drop-Stitch Floor actually needs (which is ONLY 4-6 PSI...and 1 to 2 PSI for the rest of the Kayak). This Pump would thrive with inflatables that require 10 PSI and Higher (in my humble opinion). ;-) More Detailed Specs from AirHead: - Air Volume is 310 liters/minute - 19 Amps / 228 Watts - Max run time is 20 minutes - Max PSI is of course 20 PSI - The Auto Shut-Off Dial also has .5 PSI settings that I thought were easy to select (so like 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 PSI up to it's 20 PSI Max) The AirHead folks (sounds funny to say that...but in all respect) their great team emailed to let me know this pump is designed for SUP and not huge rafts (but I still wanted to see how it would do with our Sea Eagle SE-370. Plus, as mentioned before, we just bought brand new Advanced Elements Expedition Elite Kayaks (AE) which also has a Drop-Stitch Floor (which needs 4-6 PSI). So this is why I got started shopping for a new pump with me thinking that I was going to replace my trusty and fantastic old AirHead 12V High Pressure Pump AHP-12HP that we've had for many years. I was on the hunt for 1 Air Pump Device that would both fill Low Presser Volume Air super fast (like I was accustom to with my "old AirHead Pump" ...but would still be able to inflate the AE's 4-6 PSI Drop-Stitch Floor without using a Hand Pump (that was my mission). AirHead also mentioned that this "New Pump" is 1/3 faster than their previous 2 stage pump AHSUP-A022, which I never owned or had ever tried. But also in my research…that "Older Pump" AHSUP-A022 does not seem to have near the great reviews that other AirHead Pumps get...of which I can personally testify that most of AirHead’s pump are REALLY GREAT PRODUCTS (at lest the AHP-120S 120V and the AHP-12HP 12V that own are totally awesome)! I've also ordered a Seamax GP-80D to compare it with three (3) of the AirHead Models. But for now...I've only compared the three (3) AirHeads...1st, my Older 12V AirHead AHP-12HP...2nd, my brand new "home use' 120V AirHead Super Pump AHP-120S which is unbelievable at 480 L/Min...and 3rd this "New" AirHead SUP Velocity Pump). Here is my non-scientific (3) AirHead Pump Results: - The AirHead 120V Super Pump "Home Plug-in" AHP-120S (480 L/min / 3 PSI Max) blew up both cambers of a SeaEagle SE-370 in under 40 seconds (VERY Impressive...and kind of a duuuuu with a pump that plugs into the wall...right). ;-) - The AirHead 12V High Pressure Pump "My Old 12V" AHP-12HP (410 L/min/ 2.5 PSI Max) blew up the same two cambers of a SeaEagle SE-370 in 48 seconds. - This New AirHead SUP Velocity AHSUP-A029 (310 L/min / 20 PSI Max) did both cambers in 4 minutes and 36 seconds...so it is clearly a SUP and Higher Compression Pump Only. So if you are a detail person like me...then you'd already noticed this "New" pump's specs on paper is actually 100 liters/minute LESS than my old trusty AirHead AHP-12HP...BUT this pump will do 20 PSI compared to my "Older" AirHead's 2.5 PSI Max...which again, will NOT fill that Drop-Stitch Higher Compression Floor. Plus, this pump also has a "Set the PSI & Forget It" Auto Shut-Off feature (which I found at the very low settings of 0.5 PSI or 1 PSI it was a lil' aggressive to where it wanted to keep pumping). But again, it's just not built for what I'd hoped it would be...as kind of 1 pump to replace my 12V old pump. So I cannot knock this New Pump...as I am initially impressed with its physical size. It's not much bigger then my older AirHead AHP-12HP. The caring bag is VERY NICE; and the Hose and Adapters all seem like TOP QUALITY to me. Which is what I’ve thought of my other older AirHead products. However, it also does not have a deflater feature (which again I was hoping for). Bottom line for my needs of only a 4-6 PSI Drop-Stitch Floor in our new AE Kayaks...this "New Pump" is over-kill for those. And again for me, I wanted an even faster volume of air at the 1 to 2 PSI range,,,and in this range this pump was underwhelming. But maybe I would not have noticed that if I didn't already own the very awesome AirHead's AHP-120S and AHP12HP. ;-)

No rubber gasket between hose and pump
I mean it works ok mine stopped working after like 1 summer but they replaced it so whatever, but for the price not worth it’s and better off finding a better one or just buying a cheaper one cause it has some pretty bad design flaws for something 3X the price of competitors. The 2 big things for me are there is no gasket between the hose and pump so it leaks air like crazy for the first part of inflation then once it has enough air pressure to push the hose tight it seals but if you bend it wrong it still leaks. It also removes the interchangeable tips by twisting counter clockwise the same way you twist to get it out of your board so sometimes the tip will come off the hose instead of coming out of the board leaking a ton of air and having to refill

I have used this product reliable for over 10 years and filled many kites.

Used all summer no issues with multiple SUPs
I have 3 15-20psi SUPs to inflate. That usually means 1 by hand, 2 by pump (maybe a top off by hand pump on one). This is the fastest method as I have really good hand pumps. I check the pump temp and if it's hot (rare for this duty) I top off with the hand pump as most of the heating occurs at high pressures. I have another 3 10 psi SUPs and it pumps all those up just fine but a really good Starboard or Red Paddle pump can keep up if you're big and strong so we usually end up hand pumping 1-2 or whatever is faster but if we are tired we let the pump do the we work. Keep your car running as it pumps a lot faster than just using the battery.

Great pump & love that it is high-volume single stage
I've owned 3 of these pumps for 6 months & use them in a commercial setting. I've run them for up to 30 minutes continuously with no problems (which I realize is 30% over the recommended duty cycle) & I run them like that maybe once or twice a week. No real problems with any of them except one pump the ON switch doesn't always work on the first press, so I push it twice & it works. No complaints. I love that these are single stage pumps, I've also used the dual-stage SUP pumps before & don't like them nearly as much. This high-volume single-stage compressor design seems unique to AirHead - I haven't been able to find any other single-stage SUP pumps like these.

Worked great the first time...
This worked great the first time I used it. It pumped up 2 SUP's in about 10 minutes. The second time out it wouldn't pump up more than 5 psi. I had to manually pump up my SUP after waiting 15 minutes for even 1 to finish.

Not the fastest but works great
5 stars because it is not as load as the other Airhead pumps I have had. Just remember to not let it over heat. I have run it for a solid 15 min no issues.

Great little pump
What a great little time saver. It pumps up my Atoll board and my girlfriends IRocker All Around 11 in about 7:30-7:40 each or roughly 15-16 mins total for both boards back to back. Allows us to get on the sunscreen and get the cooler ready, etc. and saves the shoulder workout for the water.

Unit Heats Up Badly
This unit worked really good the first time we pumped up our paddle boards, but on the second time the motor heated up so much that it melted the glue holding the hose to the adaptor and it slid off releasing the air in the SUP until I could remove the hose. The hose was so hot near the unit that I burned my hand when I tried to reattach the hose. I had to wait for the unit to completely cool down before I resumed but by then it was too late to go on the water.

works great
So easy to blow up our paddle boards now. Does get hot after you blow something up but let it cool for 10-15 minutes and it is ready to go again. Great product.
