They are too small (technically).. BUT: They're labeled "Approved Schoolwear". My guess is, they're designed for boys. I took the advice of others and ordered the next size larger. (My chest is 42", the shirt says XL 40/41.) So, it fit fine, but.. If you are a genuine XL, I think you're out of luck. Decent shirt, but it's not as well tailored as say a genuine Polo. (But it's not nearly as expensive.) I found the material a little 'thin' maybe, and, like others, found the collar a little 'floppy'. Also, the buttons are the same color as the shirt, rather than being white or bone or 'pearl'. (Unless you order the white--then, the buttons will be white.) Used to wear exclusively Polo, but as I've aged, I think I want something without logos.. If any of you guys know where to get 100% cotton polos with no logos and 100% cotton pleated chinos with no 'perma crease' let me know. In sum, not a bad shirt, just not one I'll order a gross of.. New Sparta

Sizing description for these shirts are completely wrong for normal men's size and you need to note that the label on the collar says "approved schoolwear" so I suspect that these are for older THIN teens. Small arrived with 34/35 on the label. this is chest size I assume. Next I ordered medium and that had 36/37 on the label and that fit just fine. I wear a 37short suit. I'm 5'6" and I think these are the perfect length which is why I gave these another shot as I find it difficult to find normal polos that aren't too long for me these days. If you are a skinny tall guy, I wouldn't be ordering these.

I find this... acceptable.
These are the smallest "Mediums" I have ever worn. I have been wearing polos for years, including quite a few (more expensive) IZOD brand polos. They "fit like a glove", that is: very close. I suppose I should have read the reviews, but I figured they would fit like any other IZOD shirt. I should also say, I'm not a big fan of the fabric. It is a bit coarse and has a sort of waffle texture to it. It isn't that big of a deal though. A good deal for the price, but this is worlds away from IZOD's typical work.

Great polo, exceptional buy for the quality - just order up a size!
Nice shirt, looks sharp, but the sizes run small. I ordered shirts for 10 of my team members at work and the overall consensus was that the shirts were tight. Definitely buy up a size. As a manager, I wanted the shirts to fit well (not baggy and not tight). For half the team, the shirts fit good and for the other half the still fit, but they were snugger than the men were comfortable with. Quality is great, color is strong, seams are solid, length is perfect... no complaints about the shirt other than the sizing.

Terrible fit
Hate the fit on this. I'm a tall (5'11) and somewhat skinny person (160lb) with a bit of weight around my belly. I ordered a large. The sleeves tend to ride up on me and are too short and tight, around the neck is way too loose, it's just barely tall enough in height (I'd like it about half an inch taller), too loose around the stomach, but fits pretty good around my shoulders.. I'm not sure what body type this shirt was designed for, but I clearly don't fit it. Also I'm not a fan of the softly propped up collar, I'd rather have a more stiff collar or one that lays more flat. Also hate collared shirts where the top botton is too tight, but not having the top bottom reveals my chest down to about 2 inches below my neck

Order a size larger than you think you need
It's a nice shirt and I love the color. It's a bit smaller than I want, but it just means it will be form fitting instead of loose. I'm thin so it's not a deal breaker. But I would advise everybody to buy a SIZE LARGER than you normally do because this shirt is definitely SMALLER than you think in terms of sizing.

I have a slim build and a medium usually fits me however this is unusualy small,not just just the length but the fit as well. I'd consider getting a large but I don't even know if that would fit. The material itself is nice though

Not usual Izod sizing -- two sizes too small
I love Izod shirts and this looked like a great deal. So order M... my usual Izod size. Too small. So returned it for replacement with L.... still too small. Returned that one too. Noticed a tag on the shirts that said "Approved Schoolwear". That, along with calling this sub-brand "Uniform" makes me suspect these are teen sizes (for school uniforms), not men sizes. There are lots of readers comments here about wrong sizes... some from a couple of years back. Wish I had read them before ordering. Really disappointed the sizing issue has not be resolved by Izod or by Amazon (must cost lots for return shipping!). Clearly, the sizing issue for "Izod Uniform" sub-brand has been known for some years. Get with it.

Cheap quality cotton-poly blend, with sub par stitching. Don't buy the "uniform" Izod, they're disappointing every time.
