Loads of fun for a couple months, but pretty expensive!

I bought the small version of this toy back in November for my Quaker parrot. Quakers love to tear things up, and so my girl had a blast with this toy! After just two months, it's been pretty much demolished. I think I got this toy when it was on sale, because I have a hard time believing I spent over $10 on a small parrot toy(it's current price) when I know she tears toys like this up within a couple months. I wouldn't buy it again for this price, but I definitely would if it went on sale again! Material, when shredded up, doesn't become stringy and so I believe the risk for accidental strangulation is minimal, but I would still remove any torn up pieces just in case.

great bird toy

this is a great bird toy. i got him one before and he tore it all to pieces, this time he's a little shy with it. i think i ordered to big a size but i've had these toys before and i do recommend them to your bigger birds. i have a sun conure.

Wow, this toy is beautifully made! I love Planet Pleasure’s toys. Safe and well-made. My parrotlet LOVES this toy! It occupies him for an hour or longer at a time, which is impressive for a parrotlet!

Great For Small Parrots

Parrots need to have things to destroy to keep them happy. They are not simply contented with plastic, non-destructible toys, they need to shred and chew things. Some wood toys will suit their need to chew things up--but other toys like this one fulfills their needs to destroy and shred things. My female conures loved tearing this toy to shreds. If you're new to parrot keeping don't buy toys on the basis of longevity alone, but things that they can destroy to fulfill their need for more active chewing activities.

Not bad.

I have two green cheek conures, neither of which have done much of anything with this toy. I have one that nibbles it occasionally but that's about it! I'm unsure if it's just not their thing or if they just have other toys they prefer, but I'll be moving it soon to see if that peaks their interest. Also, keep in mind that it comes exactly as shown and doesn't have a way to mount to the cage. We used a zip tie.

My conure didn’t like it at first when I held it out to ...

My conure didn’t like it at first when I held it out to him (he’s weird like that), but after I set it up in his cage later and I put him in there to check out the new arrangements, he went right for it and was content with holding a part of it in his foot and chewing it. So he likes it, and it should keep him quite occupied for a while during my busy work schedule for the next few weeks.

After 2-3 days it's half demolished! It's a good and a bad. lol I've bought toys where my bird didn't even look at it, and so it seemed like a waste of money. At least I know she likes this one!

Cockatiels love it

My cockatiels love this toy! They haven't got sick of it yet and it's holding up quite well. I really like the price compared to the ones found in-store.
