Perfect for the head
These white/red lights are great for installing in the boats head. I leave them on in the red mode overnight so my guests can find and use the head without turning on every other white light throughout the boat and waking everyone up.

Best value in a two color light
I've never had one of these lights stop working, but I also don't live-aboard my boats. I really like the quality of these lights for the price; they seem like the only fair balance between quality and price for a red/white switchable LED light. If they sold these in a warm-white/red variant, it would be the dream.

Great Red/White dome light.
The media could not be loaded. These replaced white only domes for our kitchen area on our Nordhavn yacht. Direct replacement, same screw holes. Better white light and now red for night running.

the frame is good quality, the light itself works fine
Typical marine/rv quality light. As with most round surface mount units of this general design and appearance, sold under various brand names over the years, the frame is good quality, the light itself works fine, but the weak part of the product is the switch. The switch is the usual cheap mini-size toggle. They are very cheaply made in China and sold in bulk to the light manufacturers. These switches are sometimes hard to find in stock in a typical Radio Shack or similar hobby electronic shop, esp. in a small town or out of the way place. Luckily they are easy to find by internet (try Amazon & Radio Shack). The switch will ALWAYS fail much sooner than the rest of the light. In 2005 I bought a boat that had six lights almost identical to this (except not being LED bulbs), dating from the 1970's. They were all in perfect shape except for the switches, which were all bad. Some worked sometimes if touched just right, others not at all. This particular light also has a "waterproof cover" over the switch - it's an extremely thin soft black plastic that will surely wear out after a short time. Maybe it's more to hide the cheapness of the switch than to keep water out long-term. Other than the switch, the rest of the light is good quality overall. The white LEDs are a bluish-white color and very bright. The red LEDs are just right for night-time use to preserve night vision. It's overall a good buy and a good product. Just think about buying a few replacement switches and putting them away for the day when the switch breaks. Or buy aviation quality instead of marine/rv quality items and enjoy the positive difference.

Replaced Halogens
These were almost drop in replacements for some legacy halogen 2 color lights. Much nicer and brighter.

Fraction of the price of others, has nice polished stainless steel housing, but plastic switch.
It looks almost exactly like the $80+ LED cabin lights I already have mounted in my boat. The housing is polished stainless steel, is mounted by 3 stainless steel screws (included), and operates with a 3 position (off-white-red) toggle switch like my other LED cabin lights. The differences are: 1) toggle switch is plastic (not metal like on my other units), 2) the 3 stainless steel mounting screws were too short for my mounting needs, and 3) the outer diffusing lens has far fewer refraction angles (the ripples) so it gives out a harsher -less diffused- bluish white light. So, for a fraction of the cost I get a pretty good approximation to my other units, with a few cost cutting compromises. We'll see if they last as long.

Stainless steel body ????????????????????????????
Better than I was expecting after reading some of the reviews, I ordered a stainless steel housing and seems to be thick enough to last a lifetime .The stainless steel is about as thick as a dinner plate also the lights are plenty bright and defuse the well. I would recommend this to any of you looking for a good light I will be ordering two more of these . I forgot to say that when on I'm reading less then 0.5 of a amp and it does not even register on my meter .

Great value
I love Seasense products. Reasonable prices for quality marine stuff. I've used the plastic version in a couple of boats now. Bright, low energy use and the red light option are all pluses to me. The better half wanted the metal look for our new liveaboard. Same reliability and function at about half the price of similar products.

Very good quality, bright, likely most competitive price
This is a common interior Marine LED light fixture and it works well, totally sealed and has a metal switched encased in rubber. Overall a very good/ excellent buy for the money

The red/white option is great for marine use.
Quality fixture that works well. Note to manufacturer: Although this is a ceiling dome light, in the v-birth of my boat the wire feed comes from the side. It would be added value if an optional side hole was pre-drilled for wiring, and then a removable plug inserted if not needed. This would have eliminated the need for me to drill a side hole in the fixture.
