Great except its metric

I didn't notice that the screw cutter holes are sized for metric not standard. Overall this company makes the best pliers I’ve ever seen.

Love knipex, but I’ve used better for less.

These are dinky wire strippers akin to what you see at harbor freight, with the added bonus of knipex nicer grips. I’d say I heavily regret buying these. For one, the wire sizing is metric, so AWG stuff doesn’t strip quite as nicely, but it gets the job done. Compared to my 4+ year old daily driven Klein strippers, they are not even as sharp and there’s no way I’m going back to another tool without a spring assist. Crimping also feels flimsy and I’ve found the grips don’t exactly give as good of feedback, but this is a minor gripe. 2/5

Best all-around

Best all-around electrician crimpers, strippers, all around tool. You can also crimp weather-pack style/AMG connections as well with it

dissapointing quality

These are definitely not as good quality as my other knipex pliers. They do not close completely, there is about a 0.5mm gap at the strippers and the dies do not meet so the strippers are terrible and it takes a lot of effort since the cutters do not completely cut the insulation. The crimpers for insulated and open end terminals works great and gives nice clean crimps. The open end terminals fold over nicely and evenly. For the price I paid I would expect better quality control from Knipex. I suspect that they contract out these as they are not stamped Germany anywhere on them and the Knipex logo is just screened on and not stamped into the metal.

It’s good tool with poor quality, and it’s made in China.

I like this crimping pliers, but quality is definitely poor, because it’s made in China. I have other Knipex tools, but it’s all made in Germany with great quality. I give four stars for the dealer who replaced the first defective pliers quickly. 1 star for knipex to allow their tool made with different standards of quality.

Nice to use.

What I like is the way they handle. What I dislike is the stamped information should be on the other side of the tool, especially since it is the other that faces the user for wiring stripping. I wonder if these are a counterfeit knock off, as knipex normally pays attention to their details.

Knipex highest quality

Knipex. I dont really need to say more. If you're a tool guy you know. If you're just the average joe out there and you think why pay around $60 when i can get a set for $15. You will only have to buy this german made quality tool once period. Im an electrician and all my pilers and wire stripping tools are knipex.
