Essential For biOrb Aquarium Owners !!!PLEASE READ!!!

This product review is basically pomp and circumstance. The item is an essential part of the biOrb fish aquarium setup and really those who have such an aquarium know they need it. If you are deciding whether or not to purchase a biOrb aquarium please read. The air stone is essential to dispersing the oxygen into the tank at a better rate than other aquariums. If you choose a biOrb and don't take care of it your air stone will dirty much faster and need replacing at a higher frequency. If handled to roughly it is possible to break. The stone seems pretty durable but keep in mind that like all important parts of a fish aquarium it is not to be neglected. This is a great item and there are compatible versions out there but in my experience are not as durable and efficient as the Reef One Air Stone. Great item, and lives up to its description.

See How Clear My Tank Is

I just changed my Airstone and Filter for the first time since I purchased my Biorb back in February. The results are clear as day. See how clear my tank is now. I love my Biorb. It takes a while (30 days) for the tank to cycle, but it is worth the wait.

Fits/works just fine. I wasn't sure that it would work out because some of the comments said the stone split when they tried to put it on. I was very careful with mine and it was fine - I think I could have been a bit rougher and it would have been fine. Maybe those were just a bad batch of airstones? My last airstone lasted about a year before it became completely clogged. I should not have let it go that long and will be replacing it more frequently. The price is fairly reasonable so I'm not too upset about it. I have seen similar airstones in the store but they all seemed a bit thicker and I didn't want to take a chance. No complaints.

No impressed with the whole bioorb thing and expensive on everything

These do not last long . And I’m finding for the price of bio orbs products you should get the best. These last me maybe two weeks. I have two 8 gallon tanks and a 16 I can not get my 8 gallon tanks clear for the life of me. I even bought the green algae filters and they don’t even work I’ve tried every chemical known to man and bought every trick bio product to try and nothing but cloud. Next step new filters these bio orb filters do not keep up. With my gold fish they are messy anyway but for what I paid these should stand up for what you pay. I’m having to do water change every other day

Bubbles got you down? Buy this!

I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing this airstone. I did read that any ordinary air stone would have worked but i wanted to make sure that it would fit. Putting this on was a breeze and mine did not crack. I never forced it on it just slid on. I bought my tank used so when i found out I was missing this after a few months of hearing the air bubbles I decided to change the filter. This has no silenced my bubbles and I will sleep easier at night! I would recommend to anyone with a biorb tank! I have also included a few photos to help fellow buyers!

Buy these - they work!

Hey, just stick to these original-brand items; they're not expensive, they fit perfectly and - importantly - they work as they should!! Fantastic delivery by Amazon, I ordered at 11:30am and they came the same day (with Prime) at 18:40, beat that!

Works well in my biorb

Works very well and arrived quickly and in good condition. Bought as a replacement for my biorb. Really noticed a difference in the water flow and must replace my airstone more regularly to ensure good filtration and happy fish.

Essential Maintence for your BiOrb

Don't be tempted to miss out on this piece of equipment when maintaining your biOrb... if not replaced regularly, the oxygen bubbles reduce in size and number and have a definite effect on the tanks environment. It's cheap as well, which is good, as there is no generic alternative to the Air Stone.
