Increase traction and safety of your walking poles

I bought this product because the small round rubber/plastic tips that came with my walking sticks were not soft and pliable enough in cold weather. Every time the stick hit the pavement it sent shock waves up my hands and arms and made an annoying noise. It also was more prone to slip because its grip was diminished in cold weather. These replacement tips drastically improved the traction and shock transference problem. I would still like to see a bit more softness in the rubber. The tips are generously proportioned and the slits in the bottom help with traction. I recommend these to anyone with plastic or hard rubber tips as a way of improving traction, reducing shock transference and generally improving the safe use of walking sticks. These tips were very reasonably priced and the fit was perfect, so I bought an extra pair.

Good Replacement Feet for Komperdell Nordic-Walking Poles

These Stansport trekking pole feet are similar to Komperdell's replacement flex tips for their "Spirit" Nordic-walking poles, which have become nearly impossible to find in the U.S. The diameter appears to be very slightly smaller than the Komperdell, but these are soft enough that they stretch nicely over the poles, and tough enough that they don't appear to be in danger of splitting. I measure the inside diameter to be 11mm (Komperdell is 12mm). I've put on about 20 miles during the last week with my Komperdell poles, walking mostly over concrete and asphalt. There have been no problems, and I have ordered more to keep on hand. These are also about one-fourth the price that Komperdell charged, and they seem to grip better. So far, they are holding up as well as the originals. I purchased from Pine Creek Outdoors through Amazon, and shipping was quick (three days).

Great for Urban Hiking/Rock Use

I wanted to add rubber tips to my poles so that i can use at home for neighborhood hiking as well as to use on rock surfaces and not damage the rock. i have used these around the neighborhood and at a few NY state parks, which all seem to use the native rock for path/trailways. These work great, but I wouldn't trust these on really slippery rock, but that could be said for almost any tip. These provide a quality, inexpensive solution and I would defenitely recommned these to a friend.

Very Satisfactory...

I have been using this replacement foot with my Coleman Trekking Pole for a month...I have hiked just under 50 miles during that time...I have seen only the smallest bit of wear on the foot...I see no difference in the quality of this foot compared to the original one that came with the Coleman trekking pole I use...I don't understand the poor reviews I have read...I hike on hilly terrain/trails...Usually not on asphalt...Perhaps the asphalt is the problem for folks who wrote the poor reviews...(I cannot say how these would hold up on hot asphalt in summer). However, they are excellent on trails, crossing creeks, going up and down hills...I can't justify spending more for the replacement foot than I spent for the actual pole...I highly recommend this product...It's a great value...

Hate not being able to give a good review.

I didn't care for these feet on my walking poles. Unfortunately, I had to remove them after just 1 month. The problem was that they kept turning in different directions. Tried several different kinds of solutions, only to have them all fail. So finely, after the 5th fix failed, they came off. Sorry to say, I couldn't recommend these feet and have a clear conscience. However, I can say, one positive thing, they are made with a very hard rubber that could possibly last for a decent amount of time.

For the price ,they seem ok ,,one had a small split in it but after gluing them on our wooden walking sticks it seems to be ok.wish they had bigger hole ,had to sand down walking stick to make it work.

Trekking Pole Feet

After less than two weeks' use (each time between 3-4 miles), the "tread" of both feet has completely worn off and the poles' metal tips have perforated the remaining rubber. Urban surfaces I must contend with (sometimes broken and uneven sidewalk pavement and asphalt as well as gravel) may lead to accelerated wear, but I'm nevertheless disappointed. Maybe I pressed down too hard, maybe the modest price, compared to other brands, should have sent a signal. The only way I can determine whether more expensive merchandise is better will require purchasing another brand.

trekking pole feet

The rubber feet are perfect for walking on pavement; they flex and allow the walker to push off in the backstroke. I have a much more fluid walk in an upright position which seems to help my knee aches and pains. The rubber feet are a nice addition to my poles.
