For Big Dogs, Too.
We have multiple sized dogs and cats. One of the very large dogs likes to literally take a bath in the water bowl which essentially empties it. We have tried small bowls- not enough water for everyone. We have tried tall 5 gallon buckets which work but are very difficult to clean and are too high for the smaller animals to drink from. This is perfect. It kind of looks like an old school hubcap. It has a “mountain” rising in the center- making it difficult to stand in. It’s shallow, but big enough to hold a pretty good amount of water. Because it has the “mountain” in the center, frequently more than one animal will drink out of it at the same time. It’s about 14” across, but because it’s stainless steel smooth, it cleans up pretty easily.

The ProSelect Stainless Steel puppy dish is amazing! I had a litter of 8 rottweiler puppies. It does what you need it to do - it keeps the food contained, it is generally heavy enough to stay put, although one of my pups did figure out how to drag it around. When they were little, it was perfect for teaching them how to drink water as well. I would start by feeding them their mush (pulverized dry puppy food mixed with puppy formula and water). When they finished that, I would put a small amount of water in the dish, just enough to cover the bottom. Yes, they stepped in but they couldn't flip it over. It is easy to wash. I loved that it was plenty big for all 8 puppies to get around. Even at 8 weeks old, with the puppies each being about 10 pounds, they still all fit around the dish nicely. The dome in the center is designed to discourage climbing in and over the bowl. There was still a bit of climbing but the dish stays put so it's not a big deal. The quality is excellent and this will surely last a long time. I highly recommend this dish.

Good except for....
Overall...great bowl. Heavy duty....stainless steel. Only draw back is the label they put in the middle does not come clean...at least not with soap and water. You either need to use a scrubber that leaves scratches or a chemical (that I'm not too fond of for a puppy bowl). I returned the 1st one thinking it was a coincidence...but the 2nd one is the same...so i just kept it....ugly sticker pieces and all.

This works well and is nice weight. Is there any reason you could not put HOLES IN THE MIDDLE. I have the smaller dish, too, but this one is big and needs to lie flat on the top shelf of the dishwasher. Because there are no holes in the top, the water sits in the dish. Were it to have some holes in the top, the water would run out and the dish could be cleaned well. I like to put it into the dishwasher to get maximum cleanliness. Thanks for your consideration! Works good. Enough space for my 8 puppies. Should be good for as they age. I read the sad stories about some puppies getting injury or killed by their necks being press down on the edges. They are pretty thin but i just keep an eye on them while feeding and help position them when they start jumping on each other's heads.

Would recommend, especially for large litter.
Works great for a large litter - 10 puppies. Heavy duty and does not tip over at all. Because it is large, it is a little more difficult to clean. The upper outside rim curls around and the food gets stuck in the crack. But I would definitely recommend.

It is great for puppies!
Works great. Turned out the mother wouldn't feed the puppies after 2 weeks. We started feeding them with the bowl. We found that the top was great for pouring warm milk replacer down from the top a little at a time and the pups love it. They wake up when they here the newspaper going on the floor and come running for the food.

Perfect for a litter of puppies
I’m using it as a water bowl for a litter of 9 Standard Poodle puppies. It’s giving suitable accessibility for several of them to drink at the same time, holding sufficient volume to last overnight, and because it’s oversized (in comparison with other bowls) gives the necessary stability prevention from turning it upside down when puppies are playing near by.
