Does not work with HITACHI P12RA Planer
Seems like a good product but does not work with Hitachi P12RA planer and jointer blades.

Worked with my Delta 22-540 12" planer
I almost returned them when flipping the knives on a Delta 22-540. I eyed the original position of the knife using the beveled edge before removal. When I used these to install the flipped knife, they looked to be higher and thought I should try another product. After reviewing other products, I decided to set the knives with these Planer Pals and use a little extra caution when testing. Everything worked well in testing and I've been planing 11" cherry with great results. Boards feed great and the sharp knifes are a plus.

Planer pal height guides.
I purchased these planer blade height guides (Planer-Pal) for my Delta 12” Model 22-540. After playing with the placement on the cylinder that holds my blades and assuring they were in the correct position, I tightened down the blades and replaced the cover housing. Be sure your blades and tightening bar are clear on each side before tightening everything up. Give the cylinder a spin to confirm everything is in proper clearance with nothing scraping the edge of the housing. Plugged it in and ran a few boards through. Perfect! Be sure to check out YouTube and watch a few videos on this process. I’ve never changed blades on this planer and it was ver easy and straightforward. Enjoy.

Easy to use worked well did the job
Brief directions are enough to get figured out and to get the planer working again. Beet the OEM tool that was much more costly and proprietary and hard to find.

Be Very Careful With These! ....The manufacturer's literature is misleading.
This set of jigs is absolutely inappropriate for a Delta 22-540. I did not read the reviews before purchasing these because it came up automatically when I was ordering a new set of knives (22-547) for this planer. Since this Delta planer is very common, I assumed there would be no issues. I won't waste time explaining because I've attached a pic that speaks for itself. As it turns out, this item has already been flagged as not being suitable for a Delta 22-540 (on both the Canadian and USA sites), but again, Amazon linked this to my knife purchase so I ordered it without researching. For someone like myself who has poor vision at really close range, it wasn't obvious that I was setting myself up for trouble. Fortunately, even though I was not the one who removed the original knives, I had enough experience to suspect that the knife height was wrong and I proceeded cautiously after the installation. The third test resulted in the wood kicking back out the front of the machine like a missile. They need to stop linking this item to the Delta knives immediately and the manufacturer needs to revise their marketing literature before someone actually gets hurt.

Easy to Use.
I was gifted an old King planer but it didn't have the set up jig for replacing the blades. Could get one for $140. Ordered this instead. With a little care to get it aligned correctly the magnet just snapped up my blade to the correct height. I tighten it in place and it works perfectly. The place I get my blades sharpened wanted to see it because it works so slick. I expect they may be selling it soon.

A great tool for setting blades
Why didn't these come with my Delta 12" planer when I bought it? The gauge that came with the tool requires that you have at least 3 hands ... So with this set of gauges and a quality 8mm wrench (not the one that Delta gives you) setting the knife depth is easy. I also found my magnet based LED light on a goose neck was a great help. The price is pretty steep IMHO, but worth it to avoid the hours of frustration and foul language that went before it....

Works as described
This device worked on my very old Sears Craftsman 12" planer, it worked perfectly, after installing a new set of blades, I saw how off the old set was. it worked perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone who is missing the blade guide.

Works with small modification
Works great, but had to do slight modification. I had to grind off locating pins and eyeball where to locate on drum when setting knife height
