Was amazed to find that this leaked

Overall, the quality of this item seems very good. It matches my other "polished brass" items perfectly, and in general works very well. I wanted all metal for durability. I was very surprised, however, to find that it leaked at the "seam" where the arrow is pointing in the attached image. And no, it is not leaking out of the spot where the lever attaches. I am 100% certain of that. Nor is it leaking from the top where it connects to the sink. I am sure it leaks at this seam. I did coat that seam with plumber's putty, and this did stop the leak (which it would not have done had it been leaking from elsewhere). This is very strange to me. Anyway, it's in, I didn't feel like hassling with a return and reinstalling another one, so I kept this, and the leak is gone with the plumber's putty.

Seems well made

Well made. Way better than cheap plastic ones. Will finish last? Time will tell. I did have a small leak from the tail piece. Would recommend unscrewing and applying a little pipe dope before you start.

It's all metal but the stem is short

It's all metal but the stem is short... I needed a 1 -1/14 flex extension to get down to the trap

fit sinks perfectly

I needed replacements for 5 sinks and the polish Brass matches 27 year old brass.

Very well made

Couldn't be happier. Solid construction. All piping/threading is robust. Everything fit smoothly. Tailpipe is plenty long enough. No leaks. And it looks great! Update - Still great, and the finish after five months looks new. Highly recommend.

Great price and product

wanted an all metal pop up. This was the best price I could find. The product is exactly as described and perfectly matched our existing faucet and lights.

Very good quality assembly

Very nice quality. Nice, mostly metal construction. Much better than the mostly plastic units they are replacing.I would definitely recommend. Was straight forward to install with no surprises.

Leaks

The first one I got was missing a gasket. I returned it and now the second one leaks.
