Super cute, Seeds Loose though

I was expecting this to be very cheap plastic but it’s super sturdy. Very cute and clever design, just the seeds are a little too loose and therefore a little too easy for the gremlins to spin it and get the treat.

Great first puzzle feeder for a cat

The media could not be loaded. My cat Jasper really enjoys using this puzzle feeder. It provides him with some mental stimulation and keeps him from bolting down his food, and I like that I can make the puzzle harder now that he has mastered the simplest stage. The only downside is that the puzzle is constructed so that bits of kibble get stuck in it very easily, which also makes it a mentally stimulating cleaning puzzle for humans.

Colorful red puzzle dish with hid-able pockets works well

I looked at nearly all the puzzle feeder options and decided on the red colorful plate with covers over the pockets as the most use full one to try out first. Not too hard not too easy. I also did some “home made” ice cube puzzle versions and a nut’s plastic dish with lid I cut holes into from my bulk department as I have a ton of them (cheap plastic storage containers) that sorta rolls on its side, not quite a ball. I stick some of the dehydrated minnows (vital essentials) so the tails are up, that 4 of my cats love and they have a strong smell. Cat nip or bits of dehydrated liver also works (never feed too much liver to a cat it causes constipation)...with dry kibbles. My cats already get a watered down soup wet cat food (Rx for bladder problems) so I know they’re getting basic food twice per day. I wanted this to leave a small serving of dry kibbles out especially at night as they are pestering us at night if they don’t eat enough! And I got several cats that can open my cabinet lazy Susan and one can open my refrigerator (got a baby lock for that) so I knew they will figure these puzzles out & teach each other! I got six cats and they’re already doing great with half open pockets. I was pleasantly surprised they all really seem to like them, even better than the ice cube trays. Both slow them down they can’t gobble as much at once! One of my cats lays his mouth full open on the side so he can fill it really full! He can not do that with either feeder (gray striped faced tabby in the photos). My older cat didn’t take to this as soon but when hungry she was over at it pawing it for morsels:) Downside is it’s hand washable I put it in a large mixing bowl with soapy water every few days, dump out anything in there before hand. Hand dry. My present cat bowls are side Corning ware dishes I put in the dishwasher! Also very small pockets I still need to put some dry food out as usual The puzzle feeder is for treats and in between feeding only. And it does help keep them amused & thinking. Recommend a mat with lip place mat underneath as it tends to get all over the floor!

Great! But cat figured it out quickly.

Great product, and good for the price. Docked a star because it’s labeled intermediate but my cat figured it out in the first sitting, so may be more beginner.

Great, but too easy!

The media could not be loaded. I love this. Sammy loves this. It's great, he's really smart and I don't always have time to do tricks for treats with him (for hours). I found this and he took about 10min to figure it out. Then he went crazy because he became obsessed. I discovered if you pinch the little piece on the bottom of the flaps (bottom of toy) that it creates a little more resistance and creates more of a challenge (for both of us I guess.)

Challenging for awhile / size is too big

Bought this for my cat since she is getting bored with her other puzzle toy. She figured this one out pretty quickly but I’ve noticed that she doesn’t show any interest in it - she still prefers her old toy. The size of the puzzle is pretty big so it’s hard to designate a space for it that’s out of the way.

As described, well-made, but…

It’s a quality product, which is why I gave it 5 stars, but my cats are simply not interested, LOL! It’s just as described and well made, so if your cats like this kind of thing, it’s a good purchase.

Great for inquisitive cats

The media could not be loaded. Brought this for my male 2 yr old cat who is very hyperactive tends to get bored and start by attacking my feet. So got this to occupy his mind and so far so good.

Great puzzle

Great puzzle. My blind cat figured it out as we gradually built up difficulty but now finds it too easy. It would be good if some of the food dips were at the top so the cat had to move the black seed then slide the circle down as two steps before getting to the treat.

Not hard enough for smart cats

One of my cats is very smart and very food driven. He will open cupboards (paws fully over the knob...) and take out treats. If I move the treats he somehow finds them, especially during a zoom work meeting. So I got this to keep him busy during meetings... The caveat is that he is a smart cat. I would say this buys me 10 minute tops. I didn’t follow the instructions (which say to go slow) and he still figured it out immediately. My more simple cat watched him patiently and did not seem to understand what was happening. I do wish it was more difficult for really smart cats who are good hunters/foragers but it was the most difficult looking one I could find. I deducted 1 star since it’s not difficult enough and another star because the box was torn and the item was very clearly used.

Great fun

I have a very affectionate but timid rescue cat who isnt good at play. Bought this and she loves it. She will ' knock' it with her foot or nose to let me know she wants a treat. Great product for her.

High quality

Really good quality and very durable, stands up to a boisterous male Bengal cat, although he has very quickly solved the puzzle he still enjoys it when I fill it up with dreamies
