Great for handicapped cats

We have a handicapped cat with cerebellar hypoplasia, which means it's difficult for them to move around like your average cat. She has difficulties standing in place and keeping her balance, so it's easier for her to play lying down. This is perfect for her, as all of the toys are easily within range for her to attack while being able to lie down. It's also nice because the toys are removeable (the hangers they're on have snap buttons), so you can replace them as-needed. This is definitely our cat's favorite toy.

Little smaller than I expected but awesome buy !

Bought this for my cat for her to play with at night, I thought it would be bigger but it’s not. Keeping it in case I get another cat in the near future that can really put it to use! Cool concept though!

not what i expected

My cat didn't like it because it was too puffy and wouldn't lie flat. much lighter weight than i expected. Beautiful otherwise, I'm sorry it didn't work out.

Does what it says

So this thing works well but my cats just don’t play with it like I was hoping for. We bought this because a friend has one and her kitten is entertained for hours with it but mine will run across it to light it up from time to time but not actually play with it at all. My adult cat does not care about it at all unless I tap it to make it light up. It would be better it if the light speed could be adjusted.

Cat doesn’t love it as much as I do

I love this, but it holds little interest for my cat. It’s cute and sturdy, and the toys unsnap so he can play with those independently.

Mat didn't function correctly

Got this for my cat to help him in the hours I'm not home. It is suppose to active at motion/ touch, but I had to get crazy heavy handed with it to get it to trigger- my cat couldn't trigger it at all (and he's 17 lbs!) and it didn't entice him since it had no action. Sent it back.

CAN'T GET MY CAT OFF OF IT!

I have three cats. My Himalayan cat absolutely has coveted this mat. She LOVES it. She lays on it so the other two cats can't play with it. Too funny.

It works, the cats don't.

We got this for the cats we frequently foster, as we didn't want to share toys between our own house cats and the guest cats. As with virtually any cat toy I have ever used, it will depend heavily on the cat whether this sees any use. As for pure functionality, this product has worked for us exactly as advertised. There are multiple pressure points throughout the mat that will cause it to light up, and they are randomly placed. The battery has a very long life. It is lightweight so expect it to get moved around a lot. Our problem has been with the cats themselves. I have found kittens to be anywhere from mildly entertained to borderline obsessed with it. They have a harder time getting it to light up, I suspect this is due to their own lightness more than product error. They jump on it, sleep on it, hide underneath it, and store toys under it. Older cats I have had less success with. They may play with it for a bit, but lose interest fairly quickly. They don't seem too interested in the activity level required to keep it functioning.

Doesn't work well, cats ignore it

The product doesn't light up when touched, you have to be quite forceful with it to activate it, and it takes many attempts. The lights blink really fast and last about 10 seconds each time. My 2 cats weren't stimulated by the lights at all. I thought they would be, as they like laser pens. Maybe if the lights were red like a laser pen it would have at least caught their attention. My cats also like slow moving things to hunt, the lights are fast with no speed settings. I have many different toys for my cats but this is their least favourite. The only use for the mat is for a place to lay on, with the hot weather the material is quite cooling so my cat does lay in it sometimes. I could have bought a cooling mat twice the size for half the price though. This product is not worth the money I spent on it.

Faulty on arrival

It flashed a few times then stopped. I put new batteries in, and they became very hot, very quickly. Amazon kindly refunded my money. Imagine leaving it on all night and it overheating? Frightening.

Small

A lot smaller than I thought it would be, but it works well and it keeps my kitten entertained. There is no on/off switch so needs to be stored somewhere where it won’t get knocked when not in use, otherwise it will just go off and start flashing lights. Not really worth the £20 I paid, it’s more like a £5 product.

What is that ???

This item was about the size of a large baby bib and as light as a feather therefor my cat runs about with it as it's so light it wont stay on the floor.....certainly not worth £19.95
