I like the product
I like the product but it appeared that the bottom had been opened. Easy to screw and a little wet around the opening. I decided to keep it but I am not sure if I will order from Amazon again. The package was damaged. ????

I'm so glad I found this on Amazon for such a great price. I had never used it before and probably would have never been able to continue using if it wasn't on Amazon for such a good price (compared to other retailers). I always had pretty clear skin but at 27 like many others around this age developed the unexpected curse of adult hormonal acne. Ahhhh! you think it in the clear after going thru ur teenage years pretty much acne free and then surprise! Your dealing with acne in your late 20's, early 30's that you neverrr saw coming. So I went on the hunt for products that worked. Ignorantly starting with insane amounts of benzoyl peroxide drying and irritating ur face beyond belief only to develop more acne (that's not even hormonal now just the reaction of all the stress u put ur poor skin under trying to get rid of the original acne with harsh products),moving on to salicylic acid products, stronger AHA's/BHA's, not fully understanding the havoc too many aha's/bha's mixed with living in south florida can cause on ur skin causing me to acquire my first beloved sunspots (that beginning a whole other sunscreen journey of its own) and then finally on to retinol. I was scared of retinol before but now especially after living in such an incredibly sunny state I have grown to love it. (After much research and myth busting about the effects of retinol and the sun). Whatt seems to be the case but don't quote me do ur own research cuz there's so much misconstrued information out there I'll probably never know without becoming a dermatologist is that retinol is deactivated by sunlight so that's why u should use it at night, of course I think because of its exfoliexfoliating, baby face, effects u should still use a high spf (45 or above) and reapply regularly when in the sun to not cause further possible damage. On the other hand I believe AHA's make ur skin much much more sensitive to the sun (I know from my unfortunate experience and much research). I don't believe u should use retinol with aha. I have in the past and have my first sun spots right on the center of my cheeks to show for it. I know this has not been about the product much but i wrote this so others don't make the same mistakes I did and after trying countless different products I believe this is one of the best for a reasonable price. It feels amazing when u put it on ur skin, like a silk infusion, it has 1.5% encapsulated retinol which means it's kind of like time released retinol that way it doesn't work all at once when you put it on your skin and cause irritation, it works throughout the night as you sleep, it is gentle yet effective and I have found some other harsher products to work more effectively and quickly on acne it came with further damaging my skin and causing extreme sensitivity to sunlight. I believe this is a good balance, it works but not too strong to cause damage and it feels absolutely amazing putting it on. As a whole I have found Paula's Choice articles very helpful in learning more about ur skincare, she sources all her information and seems to really know her stuff. She has her own skincare line so obviously she has links to her products on the articles but she also recommends other products (she gave this product 5 stars) and I think that is very credible of her. She also tears apart products she doesn't like and might be a little harsh but I always like to get her input before buying a product. U can Google her and her site will come up (beautypedia has reviews) and u can Google a subject and her name and find her articles. Helped me alot just thought I'd pass on info. Sorry for the essay. Love this product. Do have to use it every night or I will be able to tell I didn't but everyone's different. If you've never used retinol I would start every other night or less and work your way up as it says on the bottle. I think with proper use and care any skin type will be happy with this product unless you have a severe sensitivity to retinol. I'm happy. Hope amazon doesn't stop selling it!

Good anti aging face serum!
My main skin concerns are: -dark spots/freckles -fine lines- crows feet area -lines in my “11” area between the brows -one deep forehead line across my forehead My secondary skin concerns are: -smoothing around mouth (not as prominent as other lines on my face) -plumping/hydration -dull skin -pores/texture Although the bottle is kinda small only 1fl oz for $65 this serum works really well as an anti aging serum. I’m very impressed. I have seen improvement on ALL the items I’ve listed above. The biggest difference I’ve seen using this serum is in the “11” area between my brows, deep line on my forehead, overall skin brightening. This serum has been worth it for me! The serum is very liquidy and clear. It’s thinner in consistency than most serums I’ve used. If you use too much it can be a little oily, but if you use a small amount and let it sink in it’s perfectly fine. I’ll probably just go to the derm and get a script for retinol cream next time, but when I didn’t have time to go to the derm and fuss with that, this works great! Out of all the money I’ve spent on high end and drugstore anti aging products this has been one of the most effective! The serum isn’t super hydrating in my opinion so I always use a cream on top! Typically I use a Murad cream and eye cream on top. The only con I have is I was hoping it would lighten dark spots a little more than it has, but I’ve still seen a difference!

It works well, BUT…
I started experiencing pretty severe headaches and I looked up retinol. Lo and behold, medical journals say it can cause severe headaches along with other symptoms from nausea and vomiting etc. I highly recommend being a good consumer and checking this out. I found that if I don’t put it on my forehead the headaches are very mild if at all

Retinol that really works!
UPDATE: After only 2 1/2 weeks of use, I can see the improvements this PTR Retinol Fusion PM is making to my face. My deep wrinkles are softening and becoming much less deep. My fine wrinkles are already disappearing. I have not yet seen any change in a 1/3" age spot on my temple. But as far as effectiveness on wrinkles, this product ROCKS! I would give it MORE than 5 stars if I could! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have been using retinol products for years. Used Retin-A and tretinoin, both prescription products and was very satisfied with them. Ran out of those and decided to try over-the-counter retinols. Was using a couple of Paula's Choice retinol serums and found them just okay, pleasant to use but performance less than outstanding. Tried Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream Night and found it also pleasant but not impressive. So I looked for a retinol product that has a fairly high concentration and doesn't cost in the hundreds of dollars. I had heard good things about PTR's other products on Dr. Oz's program. The women at makeupalley often give great advice so I checked to see what they thought of this PTR. Mostly, they like it, so I tried it. And from the first use, incredible as that sounds, I have noticed a difference in my skin. Some wrinkles on my upper cheek that were looking frighteningly leathery showed immediate improvement. I have incredibly dry skin so the thin formulation of this PTR Retinol Fusion PM works very well for me. I don't want the bottle to tip over and spill, so I never set it down when it's open. I use the eyedropper to place the retinol liquid directly on my cheeks and neck and then rub in with clean fingers. So far, so good. I am 5-star-satisfied at this point.

Not mind blowing but a very good product - would re buy
This is a weird one, because it does work but just not as much as I wanted it to. BUT retinol is something you have to slowly introduce into your skin care over a couple months so I’ve not had enough time to tell yet. But my chin acne has stated to go and my skin is softer, smoother and defo more hydrated which reduces wrinkles. Is it expensive, probably but it’s not a bad product at all. I would buy again.
