Great Vitamin C treatment from reputable brand
This is a great, potent vitamin C treatment. I love Perricone products and this one is no exception. It can be a little drying and is best applied under moisturizer (or even another serum) because it is very thin and watery. Like other vitamin c, this should not be layered with retinol at the same time. This was effective in brightening my skin but also in lightening some light acne marks after several weeks.

Impressive
I found this brightening peel to be really quite effective. After using it for several weeks, I noticed that there were certain spots of discoloration on my face that had lightened. I wish I had the foresight of taking before and after pictures to demonstrate that, but I can tell you from my anecdotal experience, that it did a decent job of evening out my skin tone nicely. It saturates very nicely into the skin, and doesn't take long to do so. You certainly do need to follow it up with a moisturizer, as I found it to be drying a bit, but that is to be expected from a peel. I would actually use it as my first step, follow it up with a serum of hyaluronic acid, and then my moisturizer. This routine did a very nice job of smoothing my skin out, leaving me feeling nicely hydrated, while improving the tone of my skin as well. The application itself can be a little tricky, due to the viscosity of the liquid itself. It's actually quite watery, so I found myself tilting my head back almost 90 degrees in order to try and create a flatter surface, so it wouldn't run down my face immediately. Another application method that might be of use if you are considering this, is to apply it to the tips of your fingers and then dab it around your face. All-in-all I was very pleased with the results that I got, and recommended it if you are looking to even out your skin tone.

Works well but not the easiest to use
I’ve been using this for about a week and I know with face products you have to use it for 6 weeks to really notice a change in your skin but I do notice a couple of things now. The solution is very liquidy. It’s almost like water but I do see a sheen on my skin for a while after applying it as if it was an oil, but it’s not that thick. I wish the formula was a little bit thicker or that it was not packaged in a bottle with a dropper because applying this is not easy. I tried using toning pads to put it on but I felt like I was wasting so much product that was being left on the pad and the stuff is not cheap. I also tried putting it on my fingers and applying it directly to my face, but it was running through my fingers too quickly. So what I ended up doing is dropping it directly on parts of my face one area at a time, without touching my skin and then smoothing it over that area. My skin does really well with glycolic acid and that is one of the ingredients in here. It also has vitamin C and I can feel it tingle when I use this over areas of open skin like from a pimple. I had a few pimples prior to using this and I noticed that this did help clear up a lot of my blemishes and the dead skin that formed around the blemish. If I only used toner and moisturizer, I know that I would still see a darker blemish because I’m so used to dealing with that. The directions say to apply this peel over a cleansed face and then apply a moisturizer. So it really took a bunch of items out of my routine because I’m not sure when I’m supposed to use a toner or other serums. So as of right now my nighttime routine got a lot simpler because all I do is this peel and follow it with my moisturizer.

Works well with no irritation
I'm really happy that this doesn't cause any irritation issues with my skin like many peels can. Of course, this isn't really a peel so much as a serum with exfoliating features. A peel you peel off, but you leave this on. It can be a bit tricky to apply because it's so thin. I either put some in the palm of my hand and then dip my finger in that to apply, or try to use the dropper to put a bit on each section of my face and then immediately spread it around. It says to put it on and then add a moisturizer, but I let it dry for about a minute and then apply another serum over it before adding my moisturizer. I need some hyaluronic acid to keep my skin from getting dry, especially when using something like this. So far, I haven't had any issues by doing this. I don't get any pilling and I think this serum is still working because I can see some very slight improvements in my skin. The good thing about it being so thin is that you don't have to use that much so it will last much longer. It just makes it a bit tricky to use. I've used several Perricone products before and it's one of the only brands where I can usually see a change in my skin after using it regularly for at least a month. They cost more, but they do really work.

Pores appear smaller
Perricone MD Vitamin C Ester Daily Brightening & Exfoliating Peel, 2 fl. oz. My wife really likes this brightening and exfoliating peel (serum) from Perricone MD. She’s been using it for a few weeks and her skin is much softer than before she started using it. Also, the small spots on her face have lightened and some are actually gone. Her pores appear smaller, and the overall look of her skin seems to be brighter and glowing. This product is not cheap, however, it’s clear that this is a quality product that does everything it says it will and more. Definitely five stars

Brightens and smooths!
I was super excited to try this product. I've heard great things about this brand but it is so expensive, so I hadn't yet tried any of their products. This product is amazing! Even though it is an exfoliating peel, I noticed no irritation. It was easy to smooth on as the formula is like a light, almost watery, serum. You do not need to rinse, but you just apply it before your moisturizer. Because it has vitamin C and is an exfoliant, I prefer to use it only at night to reduce sun damage. It just might be worth the price! My skin looks radiant and fresh. The product I didn't know I needed!
