OMG, this 2-hold punch, let me tell ya...

When I was first asked to write a review of my recent purchase of this Officemate Heavy Duty 2-Hole Punch I was so excited. I don't even know where to start, but here goes: First, right out of the box I was mesmerized with how shiny and sleek the product looked. But it was not until I actually tried it out on some heavy weight letter-sized paper that I was shock and awed. The puncher punches perfect little holes in the paper every time. And the holes are always the exact same distance from each other and on a parallel line. Not only that but the punched holes are perfect circles that I can only guess have a circumference of Pi multiplied by their diameter. I even put 10 sheets in at once and this Officemate knew its assignment. What is really cool is that the holes perfectly accommodate the prong fasteners I paired the product with. The ACCO fastener fit neatly within the holes every time and hold the top part of my paper securely- neither too taut nor too loose. I just cannot say enough about this product. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to keep their files organized. A++ !

Not good for office quality

I have used multiple two hole punch before. This is very clumsy. Can set the size of the paper easily, slider wont work seamlessly. Wont recommend this product.

Best I ever had.

This puncher is very well made. I like how effortlessly I can punch several sheets at once. Love it!

Not a good product

If you have even 1% “perfectionist” in you, this device is NOT for you! I’m on the hunt for a perfect 2-hole punch, and I’m still looking. 1) The ruler/slide is so loose it makes it almost impossible to use accurately, and/or the need to modify it (right out of the box). 2) The arrow that aligns with the paper size is a fraction off so that when set at 8-1/2”, it is more like 8-7/16”. It drives me nuts! 3) The punch is (badly) designed to cut holes too close to the edge. It’s hard to describe, but standard/typical 2-hole punches press further into the page than this, so if you use other standard punches, your other documents will not align with those punched with this device. 4) The two punches are not identically aligned, such that if you carefully push the paper against the punches until the paper stops, the resulting holes are at a slight angle with the edge of the page. 5) The bottom tray, that holds the cutout circles, is essentially too big, and (too) easily comes off from the base making it likely you’ll spill confetti everywhere. 6) This claims to be a 50-page punch. Maybe if you are using that translucent thin paper they use for Bibles you can get 50-pages in there. For the rest of us “normal paper” users, it is just a standard 25-30 page punch. OVERALL, this is probably the worst 2-hole punch I’ve used. 1-star added for the rubber handle.

Love this Hole Puncher

I ordered two of these for my office and they work wonderfully. I had been struggling with several old hole punches that we had in our office forever and when we moved, some of them must have gotten misplaced because I was only left with one which I needed to move from work station to work station. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it motivated me to order new ones and I cannot believe how much better these work. There's no comparison. These have made a very unpleasant task for me actually enjoyable. I don't dread the thought of having to punch holes in my files anymore.

Quality heavy duty product.

This two-hole punch is very heavy duty. The packaging says it will punch through 50 sheets. It comes with a guide so you can center the holes on different sizes of paper. Using the punch is smooth and effortless. The holes are smooth with no jagged edges or difficulty cutting through a stack of paper. It also has a locking mechanism in the back which holds the punch in a relatively closed position which makes it much nicer for storing in a drawer or small space. This is a very nice two-hole punch, and a good value. I recommend it.
