Best cookware I know of
Not a pro chef. Don't like going out to eat, want to know what's in the food I eat. Cook for myself and once in a while for a friend that stops to visit. Cook year round on an outdoor stove, nothing better than cooking & eating outside. I need expensive cookware like this like I need another hole in my head. Can afford it so why not buy it? Doesn't make food any better than my cheap pot but it makes me feel good when using it, that's what matters to me. Have All-Clad pots and Griswold cast iron pans & dutch ovens. All-Clad pots completes my outside kitchen

All-Clad, simply the best
I was going to return this D5 pan because it is too heavy for me to handle safely (old and arthritic, no fault of the pan!), but my daughter took one look at it and adopted it for her own. She has other D5 All-Clad pans and has great admiration for them, so it was an easy adoption!

Great sauce pan!
Bought two All-Clad D5 3 quart sauce pans from Capital Cookware. They have great pricing along with excellent services.

My cat killed it!!
Do you want something ruggeder than a lumberjack coyote hunting? This pan is for you! My cat turned on one of my burners and scorched this pan. Like literally toasted it. I was really sad and immediately ordered a new one because I didn’t want to attempt to clean it. Today was the day, got myself a scrub mommy with some clay cleaner and BOOM ???? just like new! At least now I have two!

Brightens my day
No one needs another review from a chef explaining they love a pan. The term chef is thrown around like crazy and any product can find a shill. I know how to cook and many fancy people have paid me over the years to feed them. For me this pan is great. Not the most extreme pan in the multiple layer universe but a solid everyday piece of equipment. Heat distribution is better than most and it cleans up nice. A great lid too. Perfect for many things I do.

Fantastic Induction Cookware. D5 worth $$ vs D3
After reading all kinds of reviews on lots of sites, I ordered one each of the All Clad 3 qt D3 and D5 pots from Amazon to compare for myself knowing that I would have to pay shipping to return one or the other. It was a test well worth the shipping $$. The D5 was by far the best for me no matter the difference in price and I will continue to buy only the D5. 1. The D5 is a much more balanced pot especially with the extra handle. The Long handle is also set at a slightly flatter angle which helps with the balance and lifting, particularly since I am a short person. I could not tell the D5 was heavier than the D3 as some site stated. 2. The pouring lip on the D5 is less sharp than on the D3 (I didn't like the D3 lip at all) and makes it easier to pour the food where you want it and not down the side of the pot. 3. I like the D5 Brushed Steel better than the shiny silver D3 although the lids on both are shiny. It also seems to water spot less. The D5 went in to and out of the Dishwasher in great style and I use/wash them several times a week. I am not new to stainless steel cookware and realize that some foods may require a little extra cleaning if anything has stuck to the bottom or around the rivets attaching the handles but this has only happened once with a stew and came off easily with a plastic scrubby. 4. Some reviewers said the D5 heats a little slower, but I did not find this the case. With the extra layers, the D5 does seem to spread the heat more evenly and I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked for making my favorite fudge. I have always used my Stainless Steel pressure cooker pot to make fudge, but I found it sometimes burned the butter on the bottom because of ridges in the pot bottom. No such problem here with the smooth flat bottom. 5. This pot will be used on my new Bosch induction cooktop....when we finally get it off the living room floor and installed. (Farm family and the farm work comes first. LOL) All tests were done on my Farberware induction hot plate and I expect even better results on the Bosch. 6. I do wish the smaller pots were less expensive. I purchased the 3qt on Amazon at the same price as other sites, but NONE of them have the 1.5 or 2 qt at a decent price compared to the 3qt. Guess I will add to my collection over time. Bottom line: I am sold on the All Clad D5 line and will be buying more.

Stunningly beautiful! I love it!
This was a splurge for me. I did a ton of research all over and decided on this All-Clad 3 qt. sauce pan. It has lived up to all the accolades I read. Cooks beautifully! Bar Keepers Friend makes cleaning easy and the pan looks brand new. I do dry it by hand so there are no water marks. I love how it looks so much!!

Love All Clad Cookware!
I purchased this All Clad cooking pot for my husband as he really appreciates exceptional quality in his cookware. We have several All Clad pots and he specifically wanted this 3 quart pot. He has been delighted with it. It is the perfect size and he especially likes the additional gripping handle. It is well made with superior craftmanship and built to last. I would recommend this product wholeheartedly!

Heavy and built to last
I only buy allclad these days. This was a missing size. We use it every day at least once. It's a heavy pot which you expect from this kind of quality. Highly recommended unless you have trouble lifting heavy pots.

Thank All-Clad. Now I need more.
If you can find All-Clad, made in USA pots, discounted, you can't go wrong as a cook. This purchase was a warehouse deal and the bet is, as America's Test Kitchen has proven, All-Clad pots can take a beating without being more than cosmetically imperfect. I couldn't even find any cosmetic issues on this item. The d5 five ply saucepan is the first pan I've been able to walk away from that doesn't scorch tomato sauce on the bottom. It heats up the sides as well as just the bottom. It works really-well on an induction stovetop where cheaper pots with welded bottom plates, allegedly rated for induction, grumbled and staggered along with hot spots. The long handle has a grippy bump, doesn't overheat and can be braced along your forearm, but also has a big assist from the 'helper' handle. If you can do the upfront outlay in money for value, I found it worthwhile.

Defects and scratches
The pan delivered to me today and again, same problem that I saw in the 10 pieces set ,small pits on the bottom of the pan and corrosion? Also the handle was scratched! But WHY???? isn't it All-Clad?? Where is quality control??? Have I been unlucky for the second time??? I think if I use it the pits get bigger? Not sure though. I haven't used it yet. I washed it but no improvement. Most likely, I will be returning this pan.Such a shame and waste of time ????????????
