If you have a Pro or Pro Plus, get one of these

It may look a bit expensive, but you'd pay this much for an equivalent stand-alone stainless steel pot. A second pot makes cooking a complete meal sooo much easier, and if one pot is in the dishwasher, you can still use your IP. And yes, you could use this stand-alone if you needed to; it's stove top ready so you can brown in one pot and pressure cook in the other.

I am so glad that instant pot came out with they're insert pots with handles. I have two and maybe we'll get another but I have to have at least 2. I have a glass lid for the insert pots, a glass one with a handle and a plastic one I guess it's plastic that fits tight. That way if I put a cover on one I can put it in the fridge and still have the spare to use. The handle inserts are a must.

I get so much more use out of my instant pot with this spare.

The quality of this replacement pot is fantastic, the same as the original that comes with the pot. I often like to do multiple dishes on the weekend for meals throughout the week, and the extra pot makes a huge difference. Being able to start the next dish, or finish it on the stovetop while the Instant Pot is busy makes things go so much quicker. I recently upgraded my Instant Pot to the 8 quart (my mother will get my 6 quart) and th first thing I did was order the extra pot. Highly recommended.

Great item

I love this inner pot for the Instantpot because it has handles, which makes is easy to lift in and out. It also doubles as a stock pot on your stove and has a super thick bottom so things don't get scorched.

Big improvement on old inserts

So here’s all you need to know. 1. the new easy lift handles are what really sets this insert apart from previous edition. So glad they figured that out. 2. The flat bottom is much improved as oil used to tend to pool on the sides on old model. 3. This insert is stovetop ready! So you can go from stove to IP or vice versa or just use this insert as a replacement to other stock pots. three big wins.

Awesome purchase

The media could not be loaded. Awesome awesome to the core.. it’s been a while, It’s been a while I have written a review in Amazon. This is the best purchase I hv done fr sometime now..so I hv this 7.6 litres instant pot which I purchased last year n hv been using it regularly for dosa batter fermentation weekly .. I was finding it cumbersome to shift it into a bigger vessel , as I made a very large quantity . Now with this extra 7.6 litres instant pot , I hv the leisure to cook food without transferring . It’s definitely handy. I am very happy about this purchase

Replacement Pot for Intant Pot Pro

I had sealing problems with an Instant Pot Pro I bought. After sending videos to IP to ensure the issue was not user error, they sent a replacement lid to solve the problem, as this is the most common point of failure. Sadly, the lid did not solve the problem, so they sent a complete replacement unit. Comparing the 2 and swapping parts between them, I was able to source the sealing issue to a problem with the inside pot. Unlike other IPs, the Pro has 2 handles for easy removal which are riveted to the Pot. The handles on the faulty unit were riveted too high, preventing sealing. This replacement unit fixed the problem, so both units are working flawlessly.

a bit of a risk this one

The risky bit was working out if it would fit the pressure cooker as it firmly stated it was only for xxx and I bought yyy. it was sized in quarts and mine was sized in litres. That made it difficult to be 100% sure it would be a good fit. It is of course as the wee stars suggest.

Great Add-On for new "Pro" Line Instant Pots

Having an inner pot with handles is a game changer on the new Pro series Instant Pots. You can cook a meal and then quickly, without any chance of burning yourself, lift the pot out and have the Instant Pot available again. Here is where having an extra inner pot comes in handy: prepare a second meal or side while the first one is cooking. Once the first is done, swap pots in seconds and continue. Quality of the inner pot is great, it can be used fully on the range or even in the oven. It is just heavy enough to inspire confidence and appears to be perfectly made. Add a 9" lid (8 quart) for serving or use outside the Instant Pot.
