One of the best purchases for my Turtle!!
I bought this product a couple years ago and is still one of the best things I’ve gotten for my red eared slider! She loves basking on it and cleaning it off is so easy! It does get algae on it from being under the lights but with an old toothbrush or sponge it cleans up really nicely. Super sturdy which was really important to me since my turtle is so big! She also likes to go underneath of it which has been her favorite place to sleep. I would be a bit more concerned if she shared a tank with another turtle but since she’s by herself I’ve had no problems with her getting stuck. Overall great purchase for the price! ( sorry about the picture I’ll try to take more to show it off better)

Good, but not 5 stars good
(For reference, he’s in what I believe is somewhere between 150-200 gallon tank) It’s good but this big guy sinks it a bit. I put his old ZooMed basking spot underneath it to help with buoyancy (as seen in a different review of this product) and it seems to be helping a bit. Within the first few hours of it being in his tank, he managed to pop off the ramp so if you have a way to secure the ramp in place then I would suggest doing so. I was a little hesitant at first to purchase it as i was worried it would be too small but after reading reviews and looking at the measurements provided in the pictures, I decided to try it. It’s the perfect size for him and he’s able to fully turn around on it if needed. He struggles a little bit to get on due to the ramp be a little on the smaller side and kinda poorly made but, he is in fact able to get on it after using a little strength. He likes to try and pop the suction cups off the bottom and has nearly gotten himself stuck under the bottom bars so to fix that we put his log to kinda block him from doing that. The gravel chamber holds water so i would recommend drilling small drain holes in that to keep it from holding any unfiltered water.

Perfect for Large Yellow Bellied Slider
Our turtle is a big hefty boy. Has an 8 inch long shell and is about 7 inches wide. It holds him perfectly! Doesn't sink like the zoo med brand we have tried. Definitely recommend this for large turtles. The suction has held great so far as well. Blu is rough and tries to swing under it a lot and it does not come off.

large and great size once she gave her approval
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this for my yellow belly slider as she was outgrowing her floating basking area. When initially introduced to her tank she did not like it and was not having anything to do with it... But after alittle rearrangment by her ( the turtle) she has finally started to explore and climb on it. she likes the fact she can swim and hide under and she has more space to bask now.... definitely recommend but make sure your tank is at least a 45 galllan or bigger for the large one if you turtle has size to it.

Good for large turtle
I've had a hard time finding anything for my turtle that doesn't sink. He's very large and heavy. This platform works. I was definitely thinking I'd have to return it. My turtle is 10 inches long and about 6 inches across. He takes up a lot of the platform. If you set this up right it won't sink. But I only fill his tank half full of water. So the platform is set up right against the base. I also added 2 stepping stones Infront of it for him to climb up. The ramp kept falling off because of his weight. Plus it's plastic so he kept slipping off. But if you're having problems finding a good platform and gave a large enough tank I'd definitely give this a shot.

Do not buy for a 40 gallon tank
It takes up half of my tank and I had to return it and get the smaller one

Best storebought basking platform for larger turtles.
The media could not be loaded. I love the size of this. Fits very nicely in my 75 gallon tank and offers a ton of space for my slider to bask without taking away swim space. The construction seems very good! After reading a review where the customer used columns to support the platform instead of relying on the buoyancy, I was worried this thing wouldn't be able to hold my turtle's weight, but so far it entirely has. If your turtle is bigger, it may be an issue, but it's an easy fix if you're willing to get something like columns to support it with. Like everyone else is saying, the gravel-holding divet in this piece is a nuisance, which is why I deducted a star. I probably should have sealed the whole divet up with silicone before even putting this in my tank and I definitely recommend that anyone who purchase this do so--alternatively, you could drill holes in the bottom of the divet so that it doesn't end up holding stagnant water (could potentially turn it into a planter this way), or you could even saw off the bottom of the divet entirely. I'll likely do one of these soon but in the meantime, it's acting as a planter tray for some fake plants to give my turtle a little privacy and I'll just have to clean it out every now and then. The smooth plastic surface doesn't seem ideal for my turtle, so I'm thinking about getting textured reptile liner to use on top, though that will be another component that needs regular cleaning. This is still hands down the best storebought basking platform I could find for my turtle, who quickly outgrew the ZooMed floating platform and had been basking on a cork flat wedged into her tank ever since. I upgraded her tank significantly this week and not only can I not find a cork flat big enough to wedge into a 75 gallon, I wouldn't want to, since they grow mold and get weak over time. I did a ton of research and this is the best thing I could find that I didn't have to DIY. I'm hoping it will be a much more permanent option, and so far it does seem that it will be. I'll update this review should that change. I'll also say that my turtle acclimated to this platform really fast. I was worried it would take her a while to get on top, but she took to it right away. I was also worried about the ramp, which seemed like it would be too small--in pictures it looks like it doesn't dip down into the water enough to get on easily. She has no problem climbing it at all! It's at a perfect incline for her to climb up or slide down. She loves it! I've even found her sitting right on the ramp, just hanging out there. This isn't a flawless product, but at this price point, I'm very happy with it.

Awesome size, tips in review
I've got this twice now. Seems to be one of the very few docks big enough for 2 grown terrapins that doesn't cost a fortune. One good tip to stop it from sinking from too much weight on it is to put plastic tube over the legs to the minimum height you want the dock to go to. Just get a long plastic pipe from a hardware store for a couple quid, cut 4 short bits off, then slide it over the legs. Made it so much better. Can also remove all the legs and just hang the dock from the top sides of the tank using string or again pipe. Makes the swimming area a lot bigger.

It floats away but sinks under weight
I had to do a bit of DIY to ensure it stayed in place. I had to put a big stone in the middle section to keep it in place. Then I had to add support to the columns to stop the platform from sinking as I have 2 big and heavy terrapins. All in all, it's fine and looks good but they are already quite "cozy" and they keep growing so not sure when it will need to be upgraded.

Almost perfect!
This looked so good in my tank, was a little big for the size of it (and for the size of my Musk turtles), but that was my fault lol The main issue I had with it, was even though it was shoved right up to the side of the tank, it left a gap at the edges that my turtles were determined to go behind, constantly getting stuck. It was a similar issue with the height of the water, it didn't raise the platform high enough, so that my turtles were getting their shell stuck underneath the middle section and struggling to get out. It's great quality, nice and sturdy, but I did have a few issues.

Great product just no good for my obese turtle
I opened the box and saw it to be a good quality item not at all flimsy I set it up to give my turtle some extra basking space as his tank is getting a little on the small side while I was waiting on the delivery of his larger tank unfortunately my turtle is rather large for his species and as soon as he climbed on it sank like my dreams of the perfect habitat for my reptilian companion now I’m not fat shaming him he’s just festively plump , this is a great item but not so good for larger turtles

Brilliant value for money. Highly recommend.
This is a large floating platform much bigger than I had realized however our large turtle loves it. It does sink slightly on whatever side hes on but it always rectified itself. The only downside is the suction pads are not great and didnt work at all on our sand lining the bottom of his tank. Really good value for money. Very happy would definitely buy again.
