Love it!

I love this brand of window clings! The best part is that it is actually textured, not just a picture, so it gives the illusion of real stained glass. Easy to apply and cut, I've had another from this brand in a west window for over 10 years still going strong. Works perfectly for my 1890s home, and fools many guests that its not real stained glass. I forgot to measure my window, so it wasn't wide enough for my non-standard size window. But I fixed the side gaps with my personal "faux-leading" by use of thinly cut electrical tape. No one will ever know...lol

I am quite happy with this purchase

I bought this to try to see how it would work for covering the small windows in my basement. I am quite happy with this purchase. The material is thick and easy to work with, and the pattern looks better in person than in the product pictures here. I took my time installing it but it was worth it. It really does let in a lot of light but you can't see through it at all, just movement and very vague shapes. Attached photos show the outside at night, a closeup pf the film, and inside during the day. Some installation tips: 1) Really clean the window thoroughly. This includes scraping any spots of paint/stain or stuff off with a razor. Anything on the window can result in a small bubble in that spot. 2) If you are creating multiple panes, remember the pattern repeats at the edges; I ended up cutting two corner pieces and flipping them to maintain the pattern. 3) Measure several times, and use a straight edge and a felt tipped pen to gently draw your cut lines on the backing paper. Use a really sharp pair of scissors. Err on the side of making it slightly too big, and then trim the piece carefully after checking the fit. My pieces were small enough I could use a photography paper cutter to get it pretty exact. 4) Using a spray bottle with water/soap is much better than a sponge or cloth. Be generous, just have something handy to catch the drips on the trim. 5) After attaching the film, spray the film side facing you as well, then squeege all the bubbles out from the center. Again, have that drip towel ready.

Gets compliments

This was simple to install in my windows. I measured carefully and traced an outline on the backing before cutting. I actually cut this sheet into two thinner sheets for a pair of windows. The backing was easy to remove and I used very little water to apply the film. The squeegee was useful to remove air bubbles. I've never bought a kit that included a tool - so that was a plus. The clearer sections allow a little more light in - but no part is completely dark. It's much nicer to look at a window with some artwork in it rather than out at our air conditioning unit. Best of all - it looks great in our windows and we've already received compliments. It has the look of stained glass and each section is nicely shaded and blended. This particular design is elegant - but not fussy.

Really nice! Perfect for a neighbor-facing bedroom window.

Had to buy two rolls because our windows are more like 27 inches wide versus 24inches but it worked out well. Can hardly tell where the line is unless you get up pretty close. Our bedroom faces our neighbors side door on their garage and it has a window in it . So I’ll have the blinds up to let in some light ...and just get out of the shower or we are changing .. etc.. boom they are right there working in the garage . (Their door is a little to the side , not directly in front of our window but it was just annoying) .. so this privacy film is perfect! Followed the instructions and had no trouble. Sticks great with the soapy water spray it tells you to make. Very pleased. There’s a textured look to the stained glass that makes it seem real.

got the wrong pattern

love this iris pattern. but unfortunately i received a completely different pattern :/ i got some grid pattern. but i used it anyway. as always artscape works incredibly well peels and sticks so nicely and looks very realistic. wish i got the right pattern

Looks Beautiful

This stained glass film is so pretty! It was easy to adhere to the windows, the only difficult part is cutting and measuring the film, but it’s to be expected. Great quality for the price! It might look sheer when you receive it in the package, but you spray water on the window so the light comes through distorted for total privacy.

I love it!

I need to keep my apartment away from nosy neighbors but I want to open the blinds and let the light in as I'm now having to work from my living room. I looked at a lot of options and settled on this. The price was reasonable for the size I got (24"X38") and it arrived quickly considering we're in the throes of a horrible pandemic. It was hella easy to put up by myself and it is perfect. The reason I gave it 4 stars is only because my windows are 44 inches so I can't cover the whole window. I made it work though and it's just great. I hope it will stay up through the temp extremes we get here, but yeah, it's good stuff so far.

Highly Recommend Artscape Products!

This is the 4th time over many years that I've purchased Artscape window film products, and they never disappoint. The quality is good and it's easy to install. I love that it looks great, while also providing privacy and allowing natural light to filter through. This one is in my bathroom window and I'm really happy with it. At my last house, I installed them in some narrow windows alongside our front door. When we moved out 12 years later, they still looked as good as the day I put them up! Highly recommended.

Easy to put up, great light, good privacy

I absolutely love this film! The colours are muted enough to still let in a lot of light, and very pretty! It still has good privacy, both during the day, and at night when lit from inside. I left the right side open so my cats can sit on the windowsill and look out, though I'm considering getting another piece for the foot or so that's still open. It was very simple to put in, though maybe a bit harder on myself because of the desk! It comes with a little squeegee thing, so all you need is a spray bottle of soapy water (I used dish soap), regular window cleaner to clean the window beforehand, and a cloth to wipe it and the sill off after. The instructions say to use a utility knife to cut it after measuring, but I found (with a similar film for a door) that marking it with a sharpie down the edge of the frame (use the outside of the edge not the inside, you want a bit of overlap) and then cutting with scissors was much easier. You can still use the razor to trim the inside edge once you've got it in place (don't press too hard though or you might mark the glass). You don't have to worry overly much about getting the corners 100% straight or the measurements exact - a cm or so around won't hurt it or change the view (unless you're severely OCD, then have at 'er).

I think this turned out great! A big improvement from my view out the kitchen window before vs after. I was surprised at how much light this actually lets in, but creates enough privacy that you can’t see through it at night. We took some good measurements at the bottom, middle and top of the actual glass of the window (inside the gasket) and used a ruler and pencil to draw it out on the back, used scissors to cut it and voila! it fit! Before we cut, we followed the instructions to adjust the measurements to leave a sixteenth of an inch between the gasket to make a good seal and we did not need to use a utility knife to trim. We tried to use the factory edges as much as possible since they’re so straight. Looks nice from the outside too. Quite an amazing product since it uses no glue!
