Good Quality Faucet - a few quirks

I'd say this is a 4.5 stars - but can only give whole ratings. Faucet feels of good quality, and looks sharp. The locking nut under the sink is a good system, so you can screw the nut on by hand, and then use a screwdriver to tighten to the bottom of the sink. The pull down portion of the hose retracts easily back into the housing with the included weight. The odd: We found the integrated water supply hoses to be too short to reach the water shutoffs at the bottom of our cabinet, so it necessitated a trip to Lowe's to get an extension. If your shutoffs are on the bottom of the cabinet, you may be in the same boat. If your supply comes out of the wall inside your cabinet, you'll probably be okay. We were literally only 1.5 inches short - so buying additional supply lines was a pain. The sticker marked "hot" on one of the integrated supply lines may have been reversed - it didn't make sense based on how the water temp should be set up (pull towards you, cold, push away from you, hot) - this faucet was backwards based on that sticker. Maybe the sticker was accidently placed on the wrong line, or their design is odd - either way, a quick fix by switching the pipe the supply line is attached to.

No Hot Water

experiencing an issue with getting low volume of hot water thru - it's predominately cold and hot water pressure is 1/3 of what cold water is like. Something is not right with this faucet.

Beautiful, Simple, Functional, But Matching Deck Plate Is Hard To Find!

I received the Peerless P7965LF-SS Elmhurst Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet Pull-Down, Stainless Finish. This is a beautiful, simple, functional. practical kitchen faucet. I love the height of it to get my large pots under it. I also like the sprayer. Installation was pretty standard, BUT, this faucet does not come with a Deck Plate, which is a problem, in case you have 3 holes instead of just one. They give you the Deck Plate Order number according to the finish you need, but good luck with actually trying to find the Pearless Brand one for this Faucet to buy! Amazon doesn't have them and neither did HomeDpt. I finally had to order a generic brand of Deck Plate instead, so I was not too happy about that because it took about 3 weeks for it to arrive so that we could finally install the faucet. The finish on the generic Deck Plate is not quite a perfect match for the Stainless finish on the faucet, but it will just have to do. Be sure to measure the hole size you'll need, and the width of your faucet base too, so you can order a properly fitting Deck Plate if you are in need of one! Too bad Pearless doesn't make it easy for customers by just including the Deck Plate with the faucet, or at least give an option to order it when you order the faucet! That problem brings my review down a star for the big inconvenience of having to hunt around for a Deck Plate. All-in-All; this Faucet works well and is also very attractive, so we are happy to have it in our kitchen.

Might be difficult to find the coordinating deck plate

Having three spray settings is a bonus! The power spray offers something beyond the typical sink sprayer. Was easy to install. The height makes it convenient for washing larger/taller items. Single-handle operation is convenient for when one hand is holding something. The brushed nickel finish is attractive. There are two drawbacks: 1. The main sprayer seems to send a mist out to the side, making me think the aerator is somehow involved? Maybe it will resolve over time. 2. I'm annoyed that the deck plate isn't included. Because this was so new, the plate wasn't available anywhere, so we had to purchase a generic one that doesn't perfectly match. Just included it for crying out loud and make it easy on customers! Overall, it's an attractive faucet with quality functionality. If it weren't for having to install it with a cheap deck plate from the home improvement store, I'd give it 5 stars.

Delta Faucet Quality, But Where Is the Deck Plate??

This is a solid faucet from Peerless (who is owned by Delta - or at least under warranty by Delta). No frills operation. Mechanical hot & cold water with a pull down sprayer. Easy & all you need. I'm currently using a Moen Smart U faucet that has been nothing but trouble since it was installed. So, was looking forward to testing a faucet that is not 100% reliant on a control unit. This means if the control unit fails in any capacity, then you have no water at the sink (or even worse, the water won't turn off - this happened to us). However, there is no deck plate included for a 3 hole sink! Why not? Seems like this is not a terribly expensive part to throw in. And MANY customers need this to retrofit older style sinks. Seriously, this is a problem that shouldn't be a problem!

Good faucet value...

The media could not be loaded. Masco Corporation owns a number of faucet lines including Peerless, Delta and Brizo. Masco also owns a majority interest in hansgrohe, the German manufacturer of plumbing fixtures. Peerless is Masco's value line, priced below Delta, Brizo and hansgrohe. I've read that Delta often shares parts with Peerless, but Peerless designs tend to be somewhat dated and its manufacturing materials are less sturdy than Delta. Peerless will use plastic exterior parts on faucets, and its metal will often be a zinc alloy rather than the more expensive solid brass Delta uses. Peerless's market is homeowners and do-it-yourselfers, and they give detailed instructions to help purchasers install their products. Despite being a value brand, Peerless offers a lifetime warranty on it parts--just as Delta and hansgrohe do. In particular, their cartridges, the heart of a faucet, are on par with Delta's. This is a nice, mid-level kitchen faucet made primarily of metal. It rests on a separate metal base which is not part of the barrel of the faucet--it's a nice touch that the base is metal rather than plastic. The spray tip is retained in the end of the faucet by gravity--no magnet. Buy this faucet with confidence if you like the design. It will last well, and customer service from Masco/Delta is great.
