Easier to put on than expected

Recently bought these so that we had a pair of sandals for our year old son. The shoes is sized as expected (based on size charts) but I've noticed that Pediped shoes tend to run a little wider than other brands (like Robeez), so we have a little bit of extra room in that aspect. That wasn't a huge surprise to me though because we've had other shoes in this brand before. We accepted the extra width because I love the sole of the shoe. It is very flexible, but still feels thick enough to provide a little bit more protection from pokes when walking on uneven surfaces. The toe of the shoe is very tough also, so imagine that it would hold up well if your child is still primarily crawling (ours walks so can't say for sure). I was pleased to find that the shoe opened up better than I expected, making it easier to put on. The strap is only permanently attached on one side of the shoe and then attaches with Velcro to both the top/middle of the shoe and the other side. This also allows a little more flexibility on how tight the shoe is around the ankle. I was a little nervous about them rubbing based on other reviews, but have found that we don't have a problem with it. Our son is pretty small (3rd percentile), but I am careful to make sure that I don't Velcro the ankle strap too tight. I have noticed that he sometimes will have a small red mark on his ankle after wearing, but it goes away shortly after taking off the shoe, much like the elastic in a sock ankle can sometimes leave a temporary mark. When wearing with socks, I don't notice any marks, but they could be hidden by the sock itself and/or masked by the sock marks. Either way, because it doesn't seem to bother him and it goes away quickly, I am not worried about it.

Great soles

Living in Florida, I needed a pair of shoes for my son that he could wear outside without his feet sweating like crazy. These shoes offer ventilation and seem to fit him comfortably. What I love most are the soles of these shoes because they are leather and nothing pokes through to his feet. I do think they run a little small but overall, good purchase and I would buy them again but in a size larger than I think is needed.

I ended up giving them away to my friend who has a baby a month younger than mine and they fit him just fine.

My sons ankles seem to be a bit on the chubby side, therefore, the sandals were chaffing his skin. I even tried them with socks on but they would still leave him a red mark. Other than that they are very cute, I ended up giving them away to my friend who has a baby a month younger than mine and they fit him just fine.

) Love the flexible sole

My 10 month old can't talk, but he doesn't seem to mind wearing this - he's not walking yet, he stands and crawls in them a lot, though and they don't appear to chafe or cause discomfort. He also enjoys chewing them :) Love the flexible sole. Great purchase!

Sturdy Yet Minimal

These are the perfect sandal for my 17 month old! I love the minimal feel of them! I only wish they made them in bigger sizes for my older daughter. It is so hard finding sandals for girls without a heel. I follow the work of biomechanist Katy Bowman and she talks about how even a slight lift in the heel of a child's shoe creates an imbalance. I'm so glad I found these, but wish they made them for older children as well!

Less than two weeks the shoe fell apart

Bought this pair 2 weeks ago and they fell apart... really was impressed with the beautiful shoe, the fit, the style , unfortunately they came apart I am contacting seller hoping they can help me resolve this issue Will be updating this review As of today 3/17/20 I received a brand new pair of shoes Customer service was awesome very quick to answer, however by the time I got the shoes the 6-12 no longer fit my daughter I asked for the following size but i still received the same size... money wasted for me !

there ok, but stiff

There a little hard to get on at first because there so stiff, I got them for my son but he out grew them before he could really get a lot of use out of them.

Built to last a while...

The shoes are durable and flexible. Our experience is they must be worn with socks or else the Velcro will chafe the ankle while crawling.
