Worth the money

These are expensive but worth the durability and comfort! My son loves these shoes. Only complaint is that they are a little tough to get on.

Not quality I expected.

I order these shoes for my 3 sons in mid spring. Even though it was late in the year I order sizes a little big and expected them to still be in decent shape for the next school year. I have read a lot of really good things about pediped and I really don't mind paying a little more for good quality shoes that can make through at least 2 boys. I actually order the pair my oldest was wearing as an extra pair for #2 to grow into, but it worked out that oldest really needed some other shoes to finish out the school year. This is where I had the problem. After just a couple of months the rubber on the front of the shoe peeled off. !!! I can still use the shoes but I really try to teach my kids to "dress for success" and I don't think wearing torn up shoes to school meets that criteria. I think we got these in April and they were ruined by June. I'm pretty crafty so I'm hoping I can come up with a way to fix these... My 2nd son took out all the insoles while we were in the car and ripped them up. Not really a lot I could do since he sits in the last row of our suburban and I was driving and had no clue. I don't like that the insoles come out even though this is suppose to help them fit better and wear longer. Since the shoes really aren't that durable I don't think this feature is very useful. I ordered replacements and hopefully they send the liner and the pads because my son ripped them both up. Overall I still gave these shoes a 3 because they have a really good flex in the sole which is something I look for in a shoe. They are easy for the kids to take on and off, and for the most part look pretty decent, as well as being comfortable enough to run jump and play in. I probably won't buy any more of these. My 18month daughter got a pair of toddler Keen coronado which I am very pleased with. They are super durable. Not quite as flexible as I would prefer at that age but definitely for the older kids(4+?) there is enough flex. Just order my oldest son a pair of Keen for the new school year. ***Edit 10/10/2012 I dropped my rating on these shoes to a 2. I never received the replacement insoles I ordered. I thought that they were just slow shipping but by now I realize they're not coming. Another problem that I have had is they are not very easy for my 3 year old to put on. I found a little plastic shoe horn made by tupperware, which he treasures and keeps in a special place and is able to get the shoes on with. WHAT THE >>EXPLICIT WORD OF YOUR CHOICE HERE<< HAPPENED? I thought Pediped made good shoes! **********12/7/12 These shoes are completely destroyed and the school year is not half over. They are ripping, peeling all over. One shoe almost has a hole in it. I'm really disappointed because I thought pediped was suppose to make good quality shoes. I mean, there is a reason I don't buy walmart shoes. I will never buy Pedi-ped again. **2/1/2012 Just threw the navy pair away. They are completely destroyed. The rubber peeled of, the outer is ripped all over there are holes! They did not even last 1 year. My son and daughter's Keen shoes how ever are AMAZING!

Bad quality stitch

The media could not be loaded. I bought these shoes for my son. The quality of the material was perfect except one detail. We wore them just a couple of times and the stitching both of them came apart as I showed on the video above. I think the quality of the thread was not that good. I don’t know. And I can’t return it because we wore them and we can’t wear them either. But I paid $55. I choose them very carefully and they came as expected but now I am little disappointed.

Love them enough to be on our second pair.

My son is very, very hard on his shoes. As in, he's a 4 1/2 year old who likes to often drive his cars on the ground across the concrete, dragging his shoes underneath him. I ordered these as a replacement for when his current pair are beyond use, which will happen soon. I love these shoes. I color is great, it doesn't fade, doesn't show much dirt (despite my son playing in the sand at school every day), goes well with his navy school uniform pants, they are easy to get on, and he loves them. I am a very loyal Pediped user. I love that their shoes fit for a longer period of time because of the 1/2 size insole. So, buy a 1/2 size bigger. And use it. Their shoes are great. Even though my son's have fallen apart, ANY pair of shoes would have, it was definitely not a manufacture defect, or I wouldn't have purchased another pair! Love them, and plan to keep buying them for my son, so long as Pediped keeps making them!

Cute, but made marks on my son's feet

These shoes are so cute! I love the look, and even though the bottoms are white, I wanted to get anyway. We actually had the flex shoes, very similar, a size smaller already. My son wore them almost an entire year! They could be dressed up a little and dressed down. So I was excited to get this new pair. However, my son only wore them one time and not very much and they made marks on the tops of his feet. Not sure why. They are extremely tight and stiff at first, and very difficult for even adults to get on his feet (although they were plenty big). The other pair we had was like this too and eventually got easier, but never really super easy. My son would have to stand to slide his feet in with his weight, and my in-laws never were able to get them on his feet. Still--they are sturdy shoes, for sure. We are ordering another pair in a different style and really hope that they will not leave marks on his feet.

Great Shoe for Little Boys!

Our little boy has been through two pairs of Jakes- the light brown/white Flex ones as a new walker, and the navy/white ones as a two-year old. They have really stood the test and are a great all-purpose shoe. He wore the navy ones to preschool and church for nearly a year before we had to retire them. He is all boy and drug them on the concrete while riding his tricycle and everything. He has a wide, thick foot, and these are some of the only shoes we have found that fit him comfortably. They are pricey, but so worth the money. I bought a 1/2 size larger this time and will take advantage of the inserts to make them last a little longer. We are huge fans of Pedipeds! I was so glad to find such a great deal on Amazon!

LOVE these shoes

I bought these in blue for my 5 year old to wear with his school uniform. Oh my gosh, I seriously LOVE love love these shoes. They're stylish, excellent quality, easy for my son to put on himself (good to have for kindergarten), and they didn't break the bank. Right now he wears a size 13US, but I bought him a 13.5US so he'd have room to grow. They fit great with a little room for growth. He has super wide feet, so sometimes it's difficult to find shoes that aren't too tight for his feet, but these were perfect. They also come with additional inserts so you can replace them when they wear out. Nice. I would definitely buy this brand again in the future.

Very cute trainers - better suited to indoor use or the summer as white soles. (Hopefully they will still fit!) Nice fitting with extra insole.

ordered 30, received 29

I ordered size 30, received size 29. I returned the item and the replacement I received was another 29 again. Very upsetting as the shoes are otherwise nice. Shame I cant keep them as it is impossible to order a correct size.
