A simple yet personal gift

I was looking for a gift to send to someone who just lost a loved one. There were several things I liked about this product. 1) it was subtle, yet had a personal touch to it. 2) the poem on the candle holder expressed what I wanted to convey and 3), it was something that the receiver could display and be comforted by. It also came in a very nice box that I didn't need to re-wrap it. The only thing that I didn't like was its actual size. I had read in an earlier review that it was at least 5 inches in diameter. While that doesn't sound big on paper, it was a bit bigger than I had expected. I would still recommend this item as a gift.

This gift is heart warming

I’ve given this several times as a gift to grieving loved ones. I’ve even gotten one for my home. It really speaks to the heart and is a long lasting acknowledgement of the love shared with a person who is no longer living.

Got this as a gift for my mother and she loved it, even thought its small its very eye catching and the words are very easy to read. The only complaint that I do have however is that when a small candle is lit inside sometimes some of the wacks wills drip on the sides and it is kind of difficult to remove the wax. I also wouldn't advise to use the actual lid to snug out the candle because this leaves burn spots on the bottom end that eventually were visible from the top.

Quality control is horrible... paint smeared, dirty and manufactured in 2005 is what I got....

This candle would have worked except the ink from the message was smeared on the candle and would not come off. Maybe it would come off if a chemical was used. I did not want to damage it. The top of the candle is dirty. The dirt won't come off. There is also a white spot on it. That won't come off. It came nicely packaged. Make sure you open the box and look at it. Don't send it as a gift without seeing it. The condition of what I received made it ineligible for me to send to people I care about. The tag says it was made in 2005. This is probably why it the candleholder was dirty. Obviously, the manufacturer does not check the quality of their item before sending it to Amazon. It was a waste of time to wait for. I do not send junk to people in mourning. Based on the reviews, it is probably a crapshoot when trying to get a quality candle. Some boxes are good for some and others clearly aren't. I'm particular about the items I send as gifts. I'm glad I opened the gift box, removed the styrofoam (which is hard to do) and looked at the candle instead of sending it blindly. Had I sent it in the beautiful gift box provided, my friend would have unwrapped it only to find a piece of trash...in my opinion. If you care about your loved ones, check it. It's obvious the manufacturer doesn't give two hoots about their product.

Great gift

My daughter broke this item that my step mother gave me over 15 years ago. I was shocked to find this on Amazon. This one is heavier than my previous one but is such an awesome peice.will buy as additional gifts for family and friends

This is absolutely beautiful. Gave it to my son and his wife when their son graduated from High School as " their " GRADUATION gift. Appreciation replaced the look of confusion on their faces when I told them that there Love, Guidance, Nurturing, and support all these years hadn't gone unnoticed. That each stepping stone in life so far they have been right there leading, prodding, doing whatever it took to get to where they were today. Graduation is only one more of those stepping stones but I just want to tell them thank you for being great parents.

I loved it so much that I send one to me ...

We lost our son 2 years ago this coming October, I wanted a candle to light for him everyday. I ordered this one. I loved it so much that I send one to me friends when they have lost a important person in their lives. They are a very nice remembrance. Many of my friends have also been doing the same. They come in a very attractive soothing box which is a very nice added feature
