These are lightweight and great fitting long underwear.
These are lightweight long underwear. I wear them for golf when the temps are in the 40's and low 50's, I don't get over heated when walking our hilly course.

Long Underwear Basics
There are three basic types of long underwear which are: - Wool - Works well in the warmth department, but very itchy, scratchy and generally uncomfortable. Also special care needs to be taken when washing wool. - Cotton - When cotton gets wet its hard to dry. Generally comfortable, but dont sweat in it and its limited in the warmth department. - Polypropylene - Drys quickly when it gets wet. Comfortable to wear. Durable. Easy to wash warm. Within the polypropylene category you have thin 5 oz variety all the way up to the beefy 10 oz variety. You also have double-layer and other types. . This model of long underwear is polypropylene and its the basic 5 ounce variety of polypropylene. This will not be ultra-warm, but serve as an adequate base layer and will keep you warm enough. If you sweat in this it will dry quickly. If you really need more warmth you have the "Expedition" model which has 10 ounces of polypropylene or basically twice as thick as this model. Which is best for you? The 5 ounce "Enthusiast" model or the 10 ounce "Expedtion" model? If you are constantly on the move you dont want too much warmth. I would say to go with the "Enthusiast" model. However, if you intend on standing around or the temperature is really low than go with the "Expedition" model. As an alternative you can simply double up on the "Enthusiast" model when it gets really cold or you need to stand around. Keep in mind this is just a base layer...its only underwear...and its not meant to be the only thing you wear or your primary source of warmth. You are supposed to put your regular clothes on along with a jacket and ski bib or other outerwear. Thus this underwear only serves to enhance your other layers of clothing and outerwear. There are other brands to check out such as Weatherproof 32 degrees and Indera. However, this brand does the intended job of providing the base layer. Whether you need the basic 5 ounce "Enthusiast" version or the 10 oz "Expedition" version is up to you. My suggestion is to buy multiple packs of the 5 ounce version. If you really need more warmth simply double it up on the coldest days.

Medium density thermal for moderately cold 45F°
This has a knitted material feel, is not smooth like the really thin ones. I've worn it under a pair of denim in Oregon, and it was OK. Not great. I felt like it didn't wick moisture away as good as my other thermal tights. I think this is OK for moderate exercise, where as high intensity exercise will lead to moisture build up and some discomfort. I would say this thermal is medium density, good for cold weather in 50~40F°, but I wouldn't trust this for freezing temperature of below. *My comfort zone is subjective, I don't like being cold, so others may find their experience a little different. I'll change this review if it improves with more wash cycle.

Does well above 25°F.
Plenty comfortable and warm for my purposes. I have very poor circulation and these are fantastic. I appreciate how thin they are and how little they bunch up too. Waistband could be a little looser, but I'm in-between sizes, so I won't blame the product. Anyone living somewhere that gets colder than upstate NY would probably be better off getting Wool long johns though, these probably won't cut it for temperatures below ~25°F.

I abhor synthetic fiber clothing. That said, these industrial nightmare polyproplene static charge producing base layer bottoms are not bad against the skin. The true test comes in two days when i ride my bicycle 190 miles from Bryan Tx to Dallas. I know i'm going to have sweaty balls... But how well will the moisture wicking claims of this product keep them from swimmng in a pool of their own sweat? With lows in the mid 40s and highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s i am certain i will have to take them off by mid morning. I will try to up date this review after my trip. The fit is fine. I am 5-10 and 3/4. I am a slim 140 so bought the small size. Which are an inch and a half above my ankle. This works for me.

Love Coldpruf
Coldpruf is my go-to brand for winter undergarments, and these do not disappoint! They're a fantastic value for the cost. I work outdoors and they're an invaluable addition to my work wear. They're such a great price that I ended up ordering more, and they are a perfect fit. With other brands, I find myself attempting to readjust my long johns to keep them in place and generally fitting on me appropriately: NOT WITH THESE!

Bought this to stay worm without bulk.
Seems to add to keeping me warm under my snowboard pants. I have not been out on a super cold day yet so I will update after i experience a super cold day.

Do I get too cold?
I purchased these after careful research on ColdPruf's website. I chose these because they seemed like the best option for our temperature needs. I've had them over a year now. They don't feel any warmer than my other (basic, cheap) long johns. They do fit very well, and go very well under pants, however I wish I would have gone up to a temperature better suited to keeping me warm. They also have a nice little bit of stretch when needed. I do naturally get very cold in the winter, so maybe it's just that I need more warmth than I originally expected, but overall, I'm still glad I purchased these.

Excellent and as described.
I was looking for a thin, single-layer wicking bottom to add some functionality to a pair of soft shell pants for less than whatever Mark's was offering. This is that product. I'm about a 33" waist and 30" inseam, about 175#, and the medium was perfect with a tiny bit of room to spare. Unlike some other reviewers found, the foot openings on mine are not so tight that the stitching will rip during normal use, nor the fabric scratchy. And there is a fly which, for some reason, some of these "performance" bottoms are lacking. So that's nice.

Cumple con las expectativas.
5 Estrellas por ser un producto que cumple con las expectativas (te deja transpirar y te protege del frío). La talla de la cintura me quedó muy bien (talla 28) pero las piernas si estaban ajustadas, aclarando que en ningún momento me resultó incómodo y tengo piernas anchas. Gracias.
